SGP Syllabus

This document outlines the course outcomes and syllabus for a course on switch gear and protection. The 6 units that make up the syllabus cover circuit breakers, protective relays, generator and transformer protection, protection of feeders and bus bars, protection against over voltages, and neutral grounding. Students will learn about selecting circuit breakers, operating principles of relays, appropriate protection schemes for generators, transformers, transmission lines, and bus bars. They will also examine over voltage protection methods and various methods of neutral grounding in power systems.
