Start the U2000LCT application by opening the U2000LCT Server (see below):

and you will get the below window (for a brief moment):

After the message above you may start the U2000 System Monitor and you might have to wait from 5 to 20 min (depending
on the computer performances) for the next window to appear, where if the U2000LCT is started for the first time, below
you will enter no password):
(If U2000LCT has been used before, the password to enter is: admin123).

Otherwise press “Login” and you will get the below message to change the password:

Enter the new password: admin123:

And you’ll get:


After a while you will get the below window where all processes should be green (Running):

Now start the U2000LCT Client (double click on U2000LCT Client icon)

Here (below window) you will enter the same as before: admin123
And after message “Loading data, please wait” you’ll get:

After pressing “OK”, you will press “Auto Discovery” and in the (below) window, at “Search Mode” choose: IP auto discovery
(this is recommended when the NE-ID and IP address of the controller is not known).

Fill in the fields “NE User”: lct and respectively “Password”: password
Disregard the message below:

and wait until you’ll get an IP address (below there is an example with 129.9.2.52)
Based on the IP address obtained above, we have to set the IP address of the laptop in the same range as the IP address
discovered above and press Apply or OK

The LAN port on laptop will be connected now and we have to press “Auto Discovery”:
Then fill in “Search for NE” and the rest as in the below window (with “Password”: password)

Here you can choose with or without “Upload after being created”

Press Next:
You might get a similar window as below where you will select the NE as GNE (the same with the initially discovered IP
address: 129.9.2.52)

Select the NE, right click and choose “Configuration” (in the below window)
Then choose “Upload”:

Press “Next” and on the next window (below) press “OK”


At this stage the NE is created and accessible for configuration, alarm monitoring, etc!

And you will get:


In the end you should “Exit” from the U2000LCT Client (see below the exit icon):
After that you should exit from Server (under the System Monitor window) see below:
