Reflection form for Graduate Challenge

T-Shirt Challenge

Analysis of the challenge.


This challenge was based on designing a loo for T-shirts and formation of production and
marketing plan, the logo formation, arrangement of cloth, and production costs were included
on the challenge. The elements of this challenge aimed at increasing the expertise in product
development, marketing, and sales are as of the brand management. The creation of brand
logo address the elements of brand personality, Moreover, the target market was analysed as
the youth and middle age professionals for the T-shirts,. The logo of the T-shirt address
modern trends of sustainable business for Youth. Therefore, the target market was planned to
address form the digital media. The profit and loss statement was made to demonstrate the
understanding of financial planning and management to achieve sales targets.

Skills demonstrated During Challenge


Communication skills/Emotional Intelligence
The written communication skills were the main area of interest in the report. The searching
of existing T-shirts logo and marketing strategies and designing of the logo and the report of
the brand need effective written business communication .Thus, the concepts of business
communication were revised for business report writing. Moreover, the introduction to logo
creation was creative edge of this assignment that took most of the time.

Teamwork
The same team from the presentation challenge was working on this assignment as well
therefore, there were less challenges pf conflict management and coordination. However, the
difficulty of designing brand log was faced due to the inability of team members in graphics
designing. Therefore, I have taken help from a senior student t design many logos. Rest of the
team members analysed these logo designs and approve the most appealing and meaningful
logo. However, the financial planning was mostly done by other team members as my
expertise are limited in financial planning, hence, the team efforts were strong in
coordination. Therefore, the whole team was able to complete the task on time.
Time management/meeting skills
One of the challenging aspect of creative logo design and inability to use the software of
photo shop took more time in beginning, The work was delayed since I was learning the
software from a senior student ned from demonstrations on internet. I have learnt to cut down
the extra work during the project and should not delay work in search of the best design. The
selection of optimal design after making five logos was dine at the end by the team members.

Business skills and competencies


The creation of T-shirt logo led me to learn the basics of Photoshop software. My interest in
designing support me in fast learning from tutorials and from a senior student help. Though,
my learning was limited in only creation of simple logo design, but more probing in the
software details will help me in making banners and brochures for future endevours.

Learn for personal development


I have gained designing skills that will help me in future courses and in future jobs.
Moreover, the financial management skills are also polished during the formation of this
project. I have covered my weakness in financial, management and planning after observing
the work of my fellow team member, Hence, the creative designing and financial
management skills will help me in future jobs and in staring my own entrepreneurial venture.
