How to Prepare Equipment List

Prepared based on PFD (Input => All Equipment item tag/ no. of items)
Useful to decide the scope of work for Mechanical (Static/Rotating
/Exchanger/Package Equipment D/S), Piping for plot plan

v With design information


Prepared based on Sizing information by Process and material information by
mechanical
Useful to calculate the overall cost of equipment in plan to inform to client in
FEED phase and bidding for EPC Phase
Line List

Importance of Line List


u Include each and every line shown in the P&IDs
u Details about each portion of line after spec/insulation/tracing/design break in
line
u Useful to cross check the Plant model prepared by piping in terms of proper
break, missing lines etc.
u Useful for the procurement and construction of each line
u Useful for commissioning and startup (Types of testing)
u Important in plant to trace line and to break design information of that line
