Course Syllabus

Course Objectives
At the end of this course, you shall be able to:
1. demonstrate deeper understanding and appreciation of life processes at the
cellular and molecular levels; and
2. examine the transformation of energy in organisms.
3. value the importance of the different biological processes in the preservation
of life

 Virtual Simulations
 Multimedia Learning materials

Schedule
 You may explore the specific learning outcomes, and activities
intended for each Module in the Learning Targets.
 Assignments have specific deadlines. You may submit your outputs on
or before the date specified. This allows you to have ample time to do
the learning activity.
 Midterm Examination will be given after the completion of Modules 1 to
6 (Week 7) and Final Examination will be after the last Module (Week
12).

Learning Targets
Learning Targets contain all the time frames allotted for every lesson
in each Module and the learning competencies to be achieved. Throughout
the course, you will be engaged in peer interactions on discussion forums
and peer reviews, collaborative work in teams, groups, and circles, watching
videos, writing, completing quizzes, experiencing 3D simulations and virtual
experiments. The variety of activities will provide you with a wide range of
opportunities for engaging and meaningful learning.
