UNIT - IV

2. Differentiate between hole base system and shaft base system.

3. What are the different types of fits and explain with neat sketches?

4. Explain optical flat types and its limitations.

5. How does selective assembly differ from an interchangeability with reference


to manufacturing?

6. Design the general type of GO and NO-GO gauge for components having
20H7/f8 fit. i(microns)=0.45D1/3+0.001D, upper deviation of “f” shaft=-
5.5D0.41, 20mm falls from the diameter step of 18-30, IT7=16i, IT8=25i, wear
allowance = 10% of gauge tolerance.

c. Auto collimator.
