A murder occurred on January 1, 2015 in San Fernando, Pampanga. The victim, Jan Michael Dizon Patawaran, was strangled to death by Jose Miguel Torres at a bar restroom due to a personal grudge. Torres then staged the crime scene to make it look like a suicide. An investigation was conducted and Torres admitted to killing the victim. A progress report was filed noting that a murder complaint was filed against Torres, who is detained pending trial.

SUBJECT : Spot Report on Murder Case at B San Agustin St, City of San
Fernando Pampanga

DATE : January 1, 2015

1. Reference: Verbal instruction from Ebanada

2. Please be informed that on or about 8 o’clock in the evening of January1 , 2015 a


Murder incident transpired at B San Agustin St . City of San Fernando Pampanga, wherein the
victim was identified as Jan Michael Dizon Patawaran , 25 years old, resident of Fernandino B
Del carmen Dungan St, of San Fernando Pampanga.

3. Initial investigation disclosed that while the victim was having a drinking spree with
four(4) others at the Phillies Sports and Grill bar Moment’s later victim left the group and
proceeded towards a nearby restroom. At this moment, one of the group identified as Jose
Miguel Torres 21 years old and resident of same place also left pretending to call someone
from his cell phone but secretly followed the victim at the restroom.

4. At this instance, the suspect suddenly grabbed the victim’s neck and strangled him
causing his death. To hide the crime, suspect got a rope, tied it to the victim’s neck and hung
him to show the sad victim committed suicide.

5. Upon discovery Michaela Jane Valenzuela reported the incident to the police who
conducted their own investigation. During the investigation, suspect admitted having killed the
victim because of personal grudge.

2. This pertains to the killing of Jan Michael Dizon Patawaran on January 1, 2015 at
the Phillies Sports and Grill bar in , B. San Agustin St, City of San Fernando,
Pampanga by Jose Miguel Torres.

3. After the investigation, the police investigators filed a complaint of murder against
the suspect before the Office of the City Prosecutor docketed under NPS No. 1-
2015. Suspect is presently detained at the Pampanga Provincial Jail after the
Inquest proceedings.
