Step-2.Testing will be conducted after ports access. We will check that all ports
are accessible from outside the bank network because it will help to check
incoming and outgoing emails from external domains. If ports are not accessible
from outside bank network, then internal emails will be working however no one
can send and receive emails from outside the bank network.
Step-6.In cut over plan, MX records need to be pointed to new server and after
successful propagation of DNS, Users can start their email migration activity from
existing sever to new server. We require MX records pointed on new server
before migration because all emails will be delivered on new server. If migration
activity got failed, then users can reinitiate it.
Step-7.Same SMTP and IMAPurl can be used on new server, so that outlook
configuration will remain same. If we provide same settings of Smtp and IMAP url
on new server then we do not require to change current outlook settings.
