Grade 7 Q3 Science LAS

The document is a learning activity sheet for 7th grade science students. It contains three parts that assess students' understanding of the characteristics of sound and light. The first part contains a graphic organizer about sound, requiring students to identify terms like wavelength, frequency, amplitude, and pitch. The second part involves a lab experiment tapping bottles with different water levels to produce and change sounds. The third part concerns the electromagnetic spectrum and visible light spectrum, asking students to identify wavelengths, frequencies, energies, and order of colors from red to violet.

Activity 2: Mini-Lab Sound Production
DIRECTIONS: Perform the task as described in the situation.
Situational Task: You were assigned by your teacher to conduct a simple investigation on
how sound is produced and changed using the following materials and
criteria.
Materials:
four (4) empty glass bottles/empty glasses/empty soft drink bottles of the same size
tap water
spoon
Criteria:
 Produce different sounds (pitch)
 Bottles must be of the same size
 Use only the given materials

Procedure:
1. Prepare the four (4) empty bottles, tap
water, and spoon.
2. Follow the experimental set up as shown in the
diagram.
3. Tap each bottle with a spoon, listen and observe
while tapping then record your findings.
