Overview
▶ The card reader is located to the right of the display screen on the front panel. For
motor driven type of card reader, the consumer inserts an ATM card in the card entry
slot to begin transactions. The card reader automatically pulls the card into the ATM
and returns the card when the transaction is completed.
Troubleshooting
▶ The followings are procedures for handling problems related to the card reader, which
includes receiving complaints, dispatching a technician to the branch, verifying the
problem, inspecting the machine, and taking proper actions.
▶ Trouble Verification
1. Receiving Reports on Problems from the branch personnel
Record when the problem has occurred and what the problem is. For intermittent
errors, verify the frequency of the error. It is important to get detailed transaction flow
at the time when the problem occurred. This will be very useful in resolving the
problem.
2. Power LED on Controller Board
Check whether the LED on the controller board is on red in color.
3. Error Code on Supervisor Screen
On the service panel, enter the supervisor screen. Verify if an error code is
displayed. Compare the error code with the error code list described in Appendix.
Take proper action in the branch.
4. Software Journal & Trace Files
Connect a keyboard to the CE engine, and select a certain folder on the rear operator
panel. Copy the files to a USB drive. Send the data to Nautilus Hyosung for more
detailed analysis. However, in order to study the fault using the software file, the
time of the fault occurrence is critical. Analysis by Nautilus Hyosung on the fault may
take time.
▶ The user can check the communication cable, power cable, sensors, controller board,
and magnetic head cleaning state in the field. For other components, the user shall
inspect the modules at the depot level.
This is only a recommendation of Nautilus Hyosung and can be changed depending on
the field situation or capacity of the technician.
Troubleshooting Procedure
▶ Troubleshooting Procedure
1. After arriving on site, check the fault and complaints with the branch personnel. Study
the fault in the module. For more information, see “Error Code and Troubleshooting”.
If the trouble is in the card reader, continue to Step 2.
2. Enter the supervisor mode on the operator panel, and check the status LED. Check if
the error is red in color and if an error code is displayed at the display. In case an
error code is displayed, compare the error code with the error code list in the manual
and identify the fault type.
3. If no error code is displayed, enter the Technician mode and initialize the card reader
or conduct a functional test in order to check whether a fault has occurred.
4. Determine if the error can be corrected in the field.
5. Take prompt measures if possible. Otherwise, replace the card reader.
6. When replacing a card reader, keep journal and log files.
1. Slowly turn the large gear (1) on the side of the card reader to move the card.
- Turing gear clockwise moves the card forward toward the shutter.
- Turning gear counterclockwise moves the card toward the back of the reader.
2. If needed, open the shutter and retrieve the card by pressing and holding the
plunger button (2) as shown. Then turn the wheel clockwise to force the card from
the reader.

With ATX v2.x power supply, users please note that when installing 24-pin power
cable, the latches of power cable and the ATX match perfectly.
When installing 4-pin power cable, the latches of power cable and the ATX12V4P
match perfectly.
<Note!>
Users please note that the fan connector supports the CPU cooling fan of
1.1A ~ 2.2A (26.4W max) at +12V.
► Reset Switch
Supporting the reset function requires connecting pin 5 and 7 to a momentary contact
switch that is normally open. When the switch is closed, the board resets and runs
POST.
► Power Switch
Supporting the power on/off function requires connecting pins 6 and 8 to a momentary-
contact switch that is normally open. The switch should maintain contact for at least 50
ms to signal the power supply to switch on or off. The time requirement is due to
internal de-bounce circuitry. After receiving a power on/off signal, at least two seconds
elapses before the power supply recognizes another on/off signal.
F. Fasten the cooling fan supporting base onto the CPU socket on the motherboard.
G. Make sure the CPU fan is plugged to the CPU fan connector. Please refer to the
CPU cooling fan user’s manual for more detail installation procedure.
<Note!>
1. To achieve better airflow rates and heat dissipation, we suggest that you use a high
quality fan with 3800 rpm at least. CPU fan and heatsink installation procedures
may vary with the type of CPU fan/ heatsink supplied. The form and size of
fan/heatsink may also vary.
2. DO NOT remove the CPU cap from the socket before installing a CPU.
3. Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests will be accepted only if the
motherboard comes with the cap on the LGA1155 socket.
► This motherboard accommodates two memory modules. It can support two 240-pin
DDR3 1333/1066.

Overview
► This Cash Dispenser Unit(CDU) is located on the right side of the safe door and can be
divided into 5 major modules as follows.
Body Module
Presenter Assembly
Feed Module
Four Cash Cassettes
Reject & Retract Box
Body Module is composed of two lever type Double Bill Detection mechanism and a
high precision sensor, which measures the thickness of the transmitted bills and
verifies if it is one or more than two bills. It presents only “normal” bills to customers by
filtering all of the “bad” bills through Gate Solenoid operation.
Presenter Assembly is a mechanism that provides customers with bills stacked in the
Body Module and the assembly direction changes whether it is Front Access type or
Rear Access type.
Feed Module transfers the bills mounted inside the cash cassette to cash dispenser,
and measures the number of dispensed bills, quantity of skew, size of bills, and space
between bills. Also, the Clutch Assembly that supplies power to Main Motor is
contained in the Feed Module which enables dispensing bills from a certain cash
cassette with just one motor.
The Cash Cassette has the Bill Pick-up Module made of light plastic, which is user-
friendly and can be easily replaced in the branch.
Reject & Retract Box is an integral system that transfers defective bills from cash
cassette to Reject Department while sending the bills withdrawn but not taken by
customers to the Retract Department where the bills can be safely stored.
► The following figures show three sectional diagrams of the cash cassette.
<Warning!>
Because the Pick-up Module in the cash cassette is made of plastic, which is fragile and
vulnerable to any shock, be careful not to drop or damage the cash cassette while
handling or transferring the module.
Basic Specifications
► The following table shows the basic specifications of Cash Dispenser.
Types
► The standard type in this cash dispenser is the front access cash dispenser with four
cassettes and no shutter on the body. However, this cash dispenser can be supported
with a lot of optional types as the direction of presenter, the availability of shutter and
the number of cassette will be changed, as shown the below pictures.
Functional Description
Actuator
► Electromagnetic components used for the cash dispenser are three motors, four micro-
clutches, and two solenoids. The functions and roles of each component are as
follows.
1) Main Motor
Main Motor is a major power source for transferring bills picked up in the cash cassette
to the temporary stacker through the transport path. Power is supplied through the
micro-clutch located in each feed module.
2) Cam Motor
Cam Motor is used for transferring the notes stacked in the temporary stacker to the
upper transport path or moving the temporary stacker.
3) Delivery Motor
Delivery Motor carries the bills transferred to the upper transport path to the Presenter
Assembly, making them ready for being delivered to the final customer.
4) Micro-clutch
In order to dispense bills from a certain cash cassette, power should be supplied from
the Main Motor to the cash cassette. That is, for the release of the bills only from that
cash cassette, the micro clutch of the Feed Model in that cassette should work while
micro clutches in the other feed modules don’t.
5) Gate Solenoid
The bills picked up in the cash cassette are detected by number of sensors and
separated into good and bad notes. Good notes are released to customers while bad
notes are transferred to the Reject Box. It is Gate Solenoid which does the separation
job, and since it should distinguish the notes simultaneously in the short span of the
time, the disassembly and assembly of the Gate Solenoid requires an adjustment
point.
► Actuator Diagram
Electro-magnetic components used for this cash dispenser are illustrated in figure
below.
Sensor
► Inside the cash dispenser, various types of sensors having different functions and roles
are embedded. While some of the sensors look identical, their roles are still different,
which requires a careful attention.
The separating type transmitted sensor in the Transport path has LED (Labeling:”D”) at
the bottom and Tr (Labeling:”T”) at the top to minimize the impact of external solar light
and dust. It is important not to change the assembly direction of LED and Tr during the
disassembly or replacement process.
Also, two sensors are placed in parallel in one Sensor Bracket.

essential to follow the proper adjustment specifications recommended by Nautilus
Hyosung, since this can have a critical impact on the lifespan of the component. If the
adjustment is incorrect, the problem may not appear during the initial test, but the
lifespan of the component can be shortened considerably. In addition, incorrect
adjustment can cause such problems such as bill jams, high reject rates or note
damage.
2. Adjust the solenoid position so that the solenoid damper is at least 3.0mm away from
the solenoid plunger when you pull the gate as shown in the below right figure
3. Adjust the solenoid bracket so that the gate upper is at least 3.6mm away from the
guide as shown in the below left figure
4. Tighten the solenoid M4 screws (2 places).
<Warning!>
The ‘Y’ assembly value is supposed to become normal again by the spring. However,
it is important to check the “alignment” because problems can occur if the Flanger of
the Solenoid has not been connected horizontally.
Preventive Maintenance
Cleaning
► In order to prevent problems caused by sensor pollution and pick errors, the Sensor
and Roller should be cleaned hopefully. The cycle of the cleaning varies depending on
the function, location, and degree of pollution of the component.

enough lubricant, do not apply additional lubricant. However, if lubricant is
contaminated, remove alien substances from lubricant before applying it to the
machine.
3. All pivot points and frictions parts must be oiled.
4. All points except the following must be oiled:
Printing head, Magnetic head, Package, Micro switch contact, Drive roller, Timing
pulley, and Timing belt
5. All oiling operations must be based on oil drop unit. However, when contact
between the oiling device and the oiling target is not avoidable, the contact time must
not exceed one second.
<Note!>
1. Lubricant must not leak. In other words, lubricant must be applied only to the parts
that need oiling. Do not apply excessive lubricant. Lubricant must not contaminate
other parts. Be careful that the micro switch, the sensor, the timing pulley, the
timing belt, the package, the printing head, and the magnetic head are protected
from lubricant.
2. Do not clean plastic parts or protection devices with alcohol and other agents than
the designated one.
3. Remove dust, oil, and grease from the machine, and clean the machine with dry soft
cloth.

Overview
General Precautions
► General Precautions
1. This manual is written on the premise that an expert performs maintenance, who
knows the principle of operation, disassembling/assembling method and the
standard of lubricant very well.
2. When performing the regular inspection or regular replacement, be sure to
understand the order well and perform what you can do in a short time.
3. Be sure to find the broken area exactly and perform disassembling minimally during
repairing. If the faults occur at several places or it may effect on the other places,
you should understand the operation principle of the machine, decide the order of
repair in advance and perform skillfully.
4. If removing the screws during adjustment, be sure to check the appointed fastening
torque once again before terminating the adjustment.
5. Perform the lubrication according to the standard and avoid lubricating undesignated
place or lubricating excessively. Be sure to mop the oil flowed by the over-
lubrication.
6. If the lubricating oil is enough or there isn’t discoloration by the dust, reduce the
lubrication.
7. The item is included in the lubrication standard even if it isn’t included in the items of
the regular inspection and you judge that the lubrication is necessary, lubricate it.
8. If the lubrication or adjustment is necessary during ECO, perform them.
9. Be careful not to stain the sensor, micro switch, PCB connector and so on with the
oil.
10. Be careful for the assembling location not to touch the moving part when installing
machine or replacing. (Refer to the assembly diagram and adjustment standard.)
11. Do not operation or function test under the strong light to avoid the malfunction of
sensor or abnormal operation of machine.
Preventive Maintenance
<Note!>
1. Decide the maintenance & replacement cycle by adding the maintenance &
replacement cycle of above table to the production date marked on the label.
2. For the part without label, make it a rule to perform maintenance or replacement
based on the maintenance & replacement cycle of above table.
Cleaning
► Precaution
1. Precaution during moving receipt printer
▪ Move the receipt printer supporting it from below with both hands.
▪ Do not hold the outlet of the printer during moving.
2. Posture during maintenance
▪ If the receipt printer needs to be disassembled, be sure to put it on the flat surface
without the salience after disassembling. Also, there aren’t swing or interference of
other object.
▪ Do not lean or overturn the receipt printer.
Lubrication
<Note!>
a. Oil amount of 15mg corresponds to the amount that is applied in a drop with an oil
feeder attached with a tube with 0.8 ~ 1.2 mm [0.03 ~ 0.05 inch] diameter and
30 mm [1.18 inch].
b. 0.1g of Grease corresponds to the amount that is squeezed 1.2mm [1.05 inch] with
the grease gun having the 7 mm [0.27 inch] feeder entry.
► Type of lubricants
1. Grease(G1): Shell Albania Grease EP1
2. Tellus: Shell Tellus #100
Oiling Criteria
1. Oiling rules
▪ Check the lubrication before starting or storing printers or MSCRW. If any part is
insufficiently lubricated, lubricate it according to the oiling criteria.
▪ Lubricate the part only when it is necessary during field regular inspection. If
lubrication is sufficient, no additional oiling is required. If the oil is dirty, remove it
and lubricate again.
▪ Make sure to lubricate all pivot points and friction parts.
▪ Lubricating parts: All equipment operation parts excluding printing head, package,
micro switch contact point, drive roller, timing pulley and timing belt.
▪ As a general rule, apply oil by dropping the oil onto the part. If the edge of oil
feeder has to touch the surface of the object, do not have the oil feeder touch the
part for more than a second.
2. Warnings
▪ Do not apply oil if it oozes out from the designated place. Do not over-lubricate
since it can contaminate other parts, or flow into other parts or splash.
▪ Be sure that lubricant does not contaminate micro switch, sensor, timing pulley,
timing belt, package, printing head.
▪ Do not scrub the plastic parts or protection parts with alcoholic substance or other
solvent.
▪ Use a piece of soft and dry cloth when removing dust, oil or grease, or cleaning
the part or the assembly parts.
