b. install the basic methods of wiring one lamp controlled by 3 –way switches in two locations.
c. find pleasure through performing the basic method of wiring one lamp using 3-way switches
in two locations.

Basic Methods and requirement for the installation.

IV. Procedure
A. Pre-Activity
1. Drill: Review by asking questions
1. What are the four main parts of an electrical circuit?
2. How does each part functions?
3. Why is it important to know the parts and function of an electrical circuit?
2. Motivation: The teacher will show to the students a video or power point presentation of the different
types of switches
*Then the teacher will ask them: what are the different switches can you find from the pictures?
*What type of switch used in the stairway connection?
3. Presentation: The Teacher will present the lesson for today: (Circuit Using 3-way switches in 2
Locations) Discus the function of 3 way switches

B. Activity Proper:
* Group the students into 2 and let them select the tools and devices they need in connecting
one lamp controlled by 3 way switches in two locations.
*Check the items selected by students and give recognition to the group who have done it
correctly in the fastest way .
* What is the 3 way electrical switch?
* A three way switch is a special electrical connection that allows for multiple switches at
different locations to control the same electrical devices. these set-up is often used for lights,
where a switch for the same light is installed at two separate locations for the sake of
convenience.
* A three way switch uses a single pole, double – throw switch that ensures that of the four
possible configuration that switches can be in two of those configuration are always the on state
and that this on state can be enabled by either switch in the set-up.
A. Analysis:
* Based on your activity, give me the reason why you selected those materials and devices.
* What are your strategy / technique in making your work fast?
D. Abstraction: Video presentation regarding the connection of a lamp controlled by 3 way switches in
two locations
* Let the students see the video presentation about how to wire & install 3 – way switches
*what can you say about the video presented?
*Demonstrate to the students the connection of a lamp controlled by 3 way switches in two
locations.
* Ask the students regarding their observations on the lesson.
E. Application : Return Demonstration by students in performing the connection of the lamp
controlled by 3 –way switches in two locations ( Let 2 students to volunteer in each group to
perform the activity)
A. Assessment / Evaluation
Direction: Group the students into 2 and let them perform the connection of lamp controlled
by three-way switches into two locations thereby consisting the performance rubrics stated
below.
B. Assignment/Agreement
Draw in a piece of short size bond paper the schematic diagram of a lamp controlled in 3
different locations using 3 way and four way switch. Connected across 220 volt power suplly.
V. Remarks:
Based on the assessment and evaluation result 36 out of 44 students passed the given assessment
evaluation and 8 of them did not performed well.
VI. Reflection:
Based on my observation out of 44 only 8 of my student does not participate during the hands–on
activity , so I’ll give them peer coaching and mentoring activity.
