Turbine warm up & Start up activity

1. Start the AOP pump( auxiliary oil pump )


2. Start the barring gear motor
3. Check the turbine inlet steam valve to be closed 100%
4. Open all turbine casing drain
5. Open ESV drain
6. Boiler main Steam bypass valve MS-29 open slowly and charging the main Steam line
7. After steam line charging open main Steam valve MS-28 100%
8. Close main Steam valve bypass MS-29
9. Open main Steam pipe drains until condensate water drained fully.
10. Check the alternator cooling water inlet and outlet valve open 100 %
11. Check the GVC cooling water inlet and outlet valve open 100%
12. Check the oil cooler cooling water valve open 100%
13. Open turbine warm up vent 100%
14. Open slowly turbine inlet valve bypass 1” until turbine inlet temperature 300˚C
15. After reaching turbine inlet temperature above 300˚c then slowly open turbine inlet steam
vale 40% and close the bypass valve 1”
16. Open turbine exhaust and extraction drain valves.
17. Turbine exhaust venting valve PCV-202 open 100%
18. Now go to the DCS turbine start up page
19. Open alarm reset page and Alarm reset
20. Then go to ( Back to operation page)
21. Select governor reset
22. Then click the( LP trip reset)
23. Then back to operation page
24. Select the master trip reset
25. Then click 86T reset
26. Back to operation page
27. Select LPT reset
28. Then click LP trip reset
29. Back to operation page
30. Select governor start
31. Click governor run
32. Now turbine ESV valve open automatically and turbine RPM increase automatic
33. After reached 8540RPM the main valve to be open fully
34. Open the exhaust valve which is going to evaporator
35. Open extraction valve on steam header
36. All turbine casing drain to be closed and keep crack opening
37. ESV drain to be closed slowly
38. Turbine gland balancing valve to be open gradually
39. Start the COP ( control oil pump )
40. Start the GVC motor ( gland vent condenser)
41. Start the VE motor ( vapour exhaust )
42. Start the turbine load
43. The turbine load above 900KW then open the extraction QCNRV
44. Controlled extraction to be enable through TCP (turbine control panel)wood ward display.
45. Extraction set point maximum 9kg/cm²
46. After turbine synchronising turbine home load then turbine start up venting valve PCV-202
close slowly.

In case turbine tripped to do this below activity

1. Start EOP ( emergency oil pump) through 3HP EOP Starter panel press the
2. Boiler vinasse change over to PLN
3. Closed the inlet steam valve
4. Open ESV drain
5. After Change over to PLN and start the AOP ( auxiliary oil pump)
6. Stop the EOP ( emergency oil pump)
7. Start the barring gear
8. If barring gear not started rotate manually with handle
9. Open casing drain
10. Closed the inlet steam valve
11. Open the exhaust drain near the turbine
12. Open the extraction drain before and after QCNRV
13. Whenever boiler vinasse stopped steam supply to evaporator should be closed evaporator
header valve
14. Whenever boiler vinasse stopped steam supply to distillation should be closed spray pond
header valve
