EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE - NIGHT

There is a slow pan left. We see the black street, no one in

sight. Just the sound of someone coughing. We pan more. The
coughing gets louder and louder. We reveal that it a boy is
coughing on the bench, next to the door step of a poorly lit
house. He rapidly coughs in arm. uncontrollably. He can't
stop. He tires to control his breathing by taking deep
breaths. There is a pause. Then he starts violently coughing
again. Heard throughout the street. He reaches for his back
pocket. He rushes to take out a container. Specifically a
container fulled of pills. He twist off the cap and rests it
on the bench, next to him, carefully. He tips the container
so the pills fall into his hand. The pills wall gently-he
squeezes his head and yells in pain, dropping two pills to
the ground. He clearly has a spiting headache. He looks back
down at the pills. He gravels in anger. He tries again, more
carefully then last time. The pills land in his hand. The
throws them into his mouth and swallows them whole. He
gulps. All the high pitched frequencies fade away. His mind
becomes clear. He continues to relax on the bench.

The front door of the house open's revealing his friend. The
inside light blinds ANDREW, sitting on the bench. He friends
wakes out of his house, locks the door and makes his way to
Andrew. Andrew fractionally tries to ignore his mood,
shifting personality. His friends hi fives Andrew. Andrew
get up from the bench.

ANDREW'S FRIEND
Are you okay?

ANDREW
(quickly masks his
pain)
Ya...ye...um what took you so long?

ANDREW'S FRIEND
Just in the bathroom...
(beat)
You didn't have to wait for me.

ANDREW
No problem. Should we go now?

ANDREW'S FRIEND
Sure...

Andrew walks away from the bench and onto the street. His
friend follows.

EXT. STREET - NIGHT

The street is still surprisingly quit. Especially for two

best friend. No one utters a word. Just deep signs from
Andrew. His friends seems to notice but doesn't say
anything. Both mind the difference. Like if something is on
their minds. Andrew looks to his friend.

ANDREW
Whats up on your mind?

His friend is startled.

ANDREW'S FRIEND
(startled)
Oh... nothing... just nothing to talk
about.
(beat)
We should've brought our bikes. Your
house seems way farther then it
actually is without us riding a bike.

ANDREW
Well... mine broke-

Andrew squeezes his head. Trying to yell in pain, realizing

his friend standing right next to him. Doesn't matter. His
friend glares at him then finally speaks his mind.

ANDREW'S FRIEND
Dude you okay... like you've been
like making weird noises for a while
now. Like should we move quicker-

ANDREW
Ya... just that I have a serious
headache
(squeezes his temples)
ya...we should move faster...I just
need to take a nap.

ANDREW'S FRIEND
Well okay then...um you want to like
take the short cut and through their?

ANDREW
Ya sure.

Both friends take a hard left, detouring from their route.

They cut though the houses and make there way.

Andrew still experiences headaches and reaches for his back

pocket, with the pills.

He remembers that his friend does not know of his

disability. He quickly shoves the container back into his
pocket in rush. Andrew continues to ignore the pain as they
continue to walk down the street.

EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS

We follow the friends walking nearing their destination. All

of a sudden we hear the screech of a tire. The only real
sign of life other then the two friends. The sound fills up
the empty street. Andrew's friend thinks nothing of it. We
see Andrew's point of view. The sound of the tire screeching
and the lone care triggers Andrew's hallucination. Instead
of the sound of the engine of the car, Andrew hears his
deep, heavy breaths. Instead of the sound of the tire of the
car Andrew hears a high frequency beep. A heartbeat? Going
in and out. Instead of the sound of the car drifting, we
hear the echo of Andrew's voice. Stop. Stop. The sounds are
noisy, starting to over power every thing else. His hands
start to jitters, glitch. He takes deep breaths to help with
the pain.

The sound of the car grows. Doesn't seem to stop. We hear

the car take a sharp turn. Almost like if the car is looking
around. We see the car pass behind Andrew and his friend.
Ignoring them. However the car backs back up. Pauses. And
Examines the street. The car turns around and starts back
up. Except right behind the two friends. The bright white
headlight illuminates the neighborhood, the street, and the
two friends. Slowly approaching them. Andrew takes heavy
breaths again. Doesn't know what to do. He tugs on his
friends arm to move him away.

Andrew forces his friend and himself to change course in

order to avoid the car.

ANDREW'S FRIEND
What...what...what are you doing?

ANDREW
I...i...i don't know
(beat)
Just follow me.

Andrew's friend follows Andrew jogging over to the next

intersection. Following the street as they continue to turn
left. Andrew looks behind him, panicked. There is nothing
there. We hear high pitched frequencies, again. He turns his
head, looking behind him, again. The car appears. His
jogging starts to turn into running. Forcing his friend to
keep up with him.

Andrew turns around the corner of the street and tries to

dodge the car chasing them again. They approach a-

EXT. CUL-DE-SAC - NIGHT

A dead end. Andrew panics and doesn't know what to do. He

hears the car approaching, behind them. The car enters the
cul-de-sac as well. Slows down as it nears the friends.
Andrew turns around. The car headlight illuminate the wall
of houses and the friends. Andrew panics, looking around for
a place to hide. The car slowly starts to approach them,
ever so slightly. In the corner of Andrew's eye he sees a
sliver of the woods hiding behind the wall of houses. An
opening. Andrew doesn't look back at the car. And sprints
towards the patch of trees.

We follow Andrew as he sprints as fast he can into the

forest. The camera becomes a shaky cam., as we enter the-

EXT. WOODS - NIGHT

The woods are pitch black, dry, and rough. There are bumps
every where. Roots growing into weird places. Rarely any
moon-light shining though. The camera is static. Until we
hear loud footsteps in the distance. The foots steps grow.
Louder and louder. Coming cloers and colser. Until the enter
the frame. The feet stumble accorss the forest floor,
triping in the process. Andrew falls on the floor. Alone. He
starts to take heavy breaths sitting on the floor. Thinking
about his next move. He gets back up in a rush, frantically
running away from...nothing. As if he is getting chased.
However the pills fall out of his back pocket. Leaving them
on the forest floor.

He slows down and takes a breather next to a tree. Tries to

regulate his breathing. He repeats to himself-

ANDREW
Don't believe...don't believe... it's
all fake.

We hear the high pitched frequency again. Painfully watching

as Andrew is drowned in it. He cups his hands towards his
ears and tries not to hear anything. He reaches for his back
pocket. He shoves his hand in there quickly, looking for the
pills. His hands moves frantically, side to side. He takes
his hand out of one pocket then does the same in the next,
however more in a rush. Nothing. Nothing in his pockets. He
continuously checks in his front two pockets to see if he
missed anything. Nothing. Still nothing. Andrew starts to
panic. He looks around his surroundings. Nothing.

We see a warped, glitched view of Andrew runnign through the

forest. Whenever Andrew steps onto the rough, forest floor

EXT. WOODS - CONTINUOUS

We see the motions of Andrew running into the forest, except

from the perceptive of the...forest? Like if someone is
hiding inside the bushes. We see Andrew, partially out of
frame, sprint into a large gathering of bushes. We see him
trip and fall flat onto his face has he exits the mound of
bushes.

EXT. WOODS - CONTINUOUS

A static, long take, low angle shot of the perspective of

the ground. We see Andrew enter the frame and fall onto the
dirty ground. He uses both of hands and gets up of the
ground. Hands dirty as he frantically pushes him self up. As
he gets up we see a small container fall out of his pockets.
Andrew exits the frame and the coutainer gently rolls
towards the camera. As it stops we see it is a cuotianer
filled with Andrew's pills.

END FLASHBACK

EXT. WOODS - NIGHT

Andrew realizes where the pills are. He gets back up, filled
with energy and sprints his way to-

EXT. BEGINNING OF WOODS(NEAR BUSHES) - CONTINUOUS

We see the same static, long take, low angle shot of the

reach for the pills. Picking them up from the mud filled
surface.

CUT TO:

EXT. BEGINNING OF WOODS(NEAR BUSHES) - CONTINUOUS

Andrew ingnores the mud on his counatiner of pills and

unscrews the cap frantically. He can't get a hold of the
groves on the cap due to it being wet and muddy. Suddenly he
hears the high pithced freuqnecy again. Growing louder and
louder. His hands starts to shake as he srtuglles to take
the cap off, clearly frustrated and annoyed. Then the
frequency morphs into a scream. Distant away. Coming outside
of the woods. Help! Help! The scream is interrupted as we
hear the reving of the engine of the car and the sound of a
large door unlocking. Andrew starts to panic and finnaly get
a hold of cap. The screams continue. He chucks the cap onto
the ground ignoring it maybe getting lost. He lays his hand
out and tips the pills into the same hand. He cradles the
tiny pills and launches them into the back of his mouth.
Gulping and swolling them in the process.

The screaming stops. All we can hear is the sound of nature

in side the forest. Andrew calms down. Genetly putting the
counatitner back nito his pocket, securly. He looks around
him self. Nothing. He seems great. Then he calls out for his
friend repeatinly. He exits the forest and into the-

EXT. STREET - NIGHT

He makes his way out of the deep woods and continues to call
for his friend. More worryingly then beofre. No response. He
looks around the street to find anybody. Anything. Calls
agins louder. Still nothing. He gets impacient and goes
deeper into the safe neighborhood. Nothing. He is alone. He
turns the corner and follows the sidewalk. He hears a engine
of a car beihnf him. He turns around.

Seeing the car that chased him. He starts to get butterflies

in his stomac. He scared. He heads the opposite direction.

Wait.

Andrew stares back at the distant car from a safe distance.

He sees the silloute of a person in the car. He hears a
click, a click of the car door locking. He sees the silloute
move frantically insdie the car. Moving up and down. Side to
side. The silloute screamsn and bangs car door, stratling
Andrew. Another silloute, much larger then the other one
moves over to the back of car. Doing something to the
silloutee. The small silloute stops.

A moment of realization comes upon Andrew. His friend. Andew

immidiatly gets out of the same distance getting out of
hiding. He runs to the middle of the street. Waving his arms
at the car. Stop! Stop! Wait! How is this real?! To late.

The car drives away like nothing happen. Disapering intot he

horrizon of the black street.

Andrew is shocked. Not knowing waht to do. Only one thing.

He rushes to grab the cap less countainer from his back

pocket. Pills spilling onto the void of a street. He grabs a
hand full, thowong them into his mouth, and swallws them.
The car is still there. Riding off into the distance. Still
wiht his friend. NO! NO!

Andrew takes the entire container and motions it like if he

would be drinking water from a water bottle. Forcing all the
pills into his throat. The car still there. This time
farther away. Andre screams out loud, filling the street
wiht noise.

He starts to feel nautious. Spinning. His hands squeezing

his head. He softly closes his eyes. An overdose. Andrew
passes out onto the cold, black street.
