M: Yes, yesterday they gave me a chicken that was not well cooked. I thought it had been an
accident. But today the same thing happened to me. Do you think this only happens with chicken?
R:I don’t think it only happens with the chicken, last week I noticed that the rice was undercooked.
And not only that, the salad didn’t taste fresh and tasted very sour. Do you think any food in this
restaurant tastes good?
M: Ohh that is so disgusting . It must be because they changed their chef a month ago. When I first
came to this restaurant they made a very delicious “Lomo Saltado”, but they have not put it on the
menu anymore. I think that now the only good thing about the restaurant is the service that the waiters
give, they are very attentive. What do you think about customer service?
R: In my opinion, the customer service is acceptable, the waiters are very fast taking down the orders
of the clients and they are very attentive at all times. However, many times they get the wrong table
when serving the food and they also get upset when I don’t give them a tip. Do you think waiters
should get upset about not tipping them?
M: I think they should not bother because the tip we give the waiter is if he has treated us very well.
Yesterday I did not tip the waitress because he had forgotten to bring my soda and he gave me a very
bad look. However, I only eat here because it is the restaurant that is closest to the university, but I
think I will have to walk a little further if I want to get good service. Will you keep coming to this
restaurant?
R: Yes, I will. Although the food is not very good, in other restaurants the prices are very high. And if
this restaurant had never existed, I would have to go to the other nearest restaurant that is half an
hour from here every day. I think that this restaurant should improve once and for all. Do you think if
we complain to the owner, he can listen to us?
M: Yes, you are right , the other restaurant is a bit far away and I might be late for my next class
because of that. I think that is a great idea because there are many people who have made various
claims for food. I think we could write down on a piece of paper the inconveniences that we have been
experiencing in the last few weeks and tell the restaurant manager, maybe he has nor tried any of the
foods with these problems. What do you think?
R: I think that is a good idea. We have to write our complaints in a document and then send it to the
manager’s email. Do you think it would also be a good idea to write our complaints in the comments
on the restaurant’s website?
M: I think it is better to just write on the document because if we write it on the website it will stay there
forever.
R:Oh. I’m late. I have to go to my French class. Tomorrow I’ll come here for lunch, so I’ll see you
again.
