Rationale March 14th is observed worldwide as the International Day of Mathematics, which was proclaimed
by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to recognize the
significance of Mathematics in our daily lives and to raise awareness about its importance globally.

The theme for this year’s celebration is "Mathematics for Everyone," highlighting the idea that
mathematics is not limited to mathematicians but is essential for everyone. This increases awareness on the
importance of mathematics and encourages people of all ages to recognize its significance.

As per division memorandum order no. 174 S.2023, 3. All schools are encouraged to participate and
shall conduct a school-based Mathematics Festival which includes the activities such as; Sudoku Game ,
Math Jingle, Math Quiz, Damath, Rubik’s Cube and Math Cartooning.

Hence, in observance of the said International Day of Mathematics, Badong National High School

will have its Mathematics Festival on March 14, 2023 from 8:45-11:45 @ Badong National High School
Multi-Purpose Hall.

This MATHEMATICS FESTIVAL will highlight with several activities which will be competed
by Grade 7 to Grade 12 students. The students/participants will be showing their skills in their respective
events such as; Sudoku Game, Damath, Math Jingle, Rubik’s Cube, Chess, Math Quiz Bowl and Math
Program or Course Description Cartooning.
BNHS teachers also have their parts as facilitators and other preparations of the said activity
together with the Mathematics Club Officers.
The program will start at 8:45 in the morning at BNHS Multi-Purpose Hall.
