Greetings of Peace!

May we request permission to your good office in allowing us to conduct School

Learning Action Cell on February 7, 2023 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The LAC Session
will be generally about “Retooling and Upskilling Teachers in English Department”
with six different topics which are bases from the consolidated Individual Development
Plan of the JHS English Department.

The speakers/participants of the activity are the following teachers with their assign
topics:

1. Soledad E. Lacson- Code of Ethics

2. Nora A. Pangan- Mental Health Awareness for Teachers and Learners
3. Aziel D. Tolentino- ICT integration in Classroom with the use of CANVA
4. Rea C. Reyes- Philosopies of Education
5. Riala Teresa C. Galang – Specialized activities for IP students in Classroom
6. Blessed Mamangun Manalang- Men and Women Empowerment for
Teachers and Learners

The objectives of the LAC session are below:

a. Refresh teachers about professionalism in discussing the code

of Ethics
b. Give Mental Care and support to the teachers as well as the
learners.
c. Update the teachers about the new ways to teach using varied
strategies to accommodate diverse learners.
d. Provide knowledge and strategies on how to facilitate learning
in class with IP learners.
e. Create a teaching and learning environment with Men and
Women Empowerment for Teachers and Learners

TRAINING DESIGN

TITLE : “ Retooling and Upskilling Teachers in JHS English

Department ”

Target Participants :

I. RATIONALE:

In line with the implementation of Republic Act 10533 or the Enhanced

Basic Education Act of 2013, the Department of Education issued the policy

on the Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K-12 Basic Education Program

School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the

Improvement of Teaching and Learning. (DepEd Order # 35 s. 2016)

This advocacy of DepEd implies that every teacher should be properly

guided and equipped with the know- how of the teaching learning processes

through revisiting or reviewing some areas or concerned in performing the

duties and responsibilities of an effective and efficient teachers. Successful

teaching is a result of the systematic use of appropriate strategies for

delivering and assessing the learning objectives targeted for lesson.

Therefore, teachers should apply appropriate teaching strategies that best

suit specific objectives and level exit outcomes to facilitate the process of

knowledge transmission. In the traditional epoch, many teaching

practitioners widely applied teacher-centered to impart knowledge to

learner’s comparative to student-centered. By these, teachers play a

significant role in the intellectual development of the pupils using various

assessments and teaching strategies to improve student’s performance in

schools’ subject

II. OBJECTIVES :

This Leaning Action Cell aims to:
