MDRRMO AND COMMUNITY

I. RATIONALE:

Rule 6, Section 7 of the IRR of the RA 10121 states that “Public awareness
shall be undertaken through the conduct of drills by the LDRRMO on a
regular basis. Likewise, the MDRRM Plan aimed to develop and implement
comprehensive and local-preparedness and response policies, plan and
systems that will simulate scenario-based preparedness and response plan to
promote regular disaster preparedness, response and recovery exercises.

II. OBJECTIVES:

1. Seeks to strengthen the mechanism of local coordination and


interoperability of key players such as the barangay emergency response
clusters with emphasis on evacuation management protocols, SRR
operations, communications capabilityand various stakeholders;
2. Equipped the local community on the preparedness on real-scene
scenarios particularly on the occurrence of typhoon that resulted to
flooding as well as increase commitment of the key players and
cooperation of the community;
3. Measure the Contingency Plan for Flooding and shall make valuable
revisions and/or additions after the evaluations/assessments made for
better executions.
