ACTIVITY DESIGN

RATIONALE:

Republic Act (R.A.) No. 10742 or Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015
mandates that every barangay, municipality, city, and province conduct an annual
activity to be known as the Linggo ng Kabataan on the week where the 12th of August
falls to coincide with the International Youth Day. It is pursuant to the constitutional
provision that the state recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-building and thus
promotes their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being, inculcates
in them patriotism, nationalism, and other desirable values, and encourages their
involvement in public and civic affairs.

Consistent with the foregoing mandate, the Katipunan ng Kabataan of Culasi,


through its Sanggunian, will hold a three-day event on July 29, August 5-6, 2023 which
shall be participated by the members of the Katipunan and some selected non-
government organizations in the municipality of Matnog. Said event comprises the
following activities:

I. One-Day Volleyball League;


II. Magayon Baksketball;
III. Basketball Exhibit Game;
IV. Laro ng Lahi;
V. Coastal Clean-Up Drive; and
VI. Awarding and Recognition.

Information regarding the details of each of the enumerated activities shall be


further provided.

OBJECTIVES:

1. To actively engage the youth of Culasi in nation-building activities within the


smallest political unit of the country—the barangay;
2. To promote the physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being of
the youth of Culasi; and
3. To develop camaraderie among the members of the Katipunan ng Kabataan.

PARTICIPANTS:
1. Katipunan ng Kabataan of Culasi
2. Magic 5 Fraternity and Sorority- Matnog Chapter
3. Matnog Gay Organization (MAGAYON)
4. Matnog Spikers (Volleyball)
5. Matnog Sharks (Basketball)

BUDGETARY REQUIREMENT:

Funds that will be used to defray the expenses of the event will be coming from
benevolent and generous sponsors and from any income that the event will be able to
generate.

I. Expenses:

a. Prizes (Volleyball)
b. Consolation Prizes (Laro ng Lahi)
c. Referee Fee
d. Sound System
e. Food
f. Medals, Trophies, and Plaques
g. Stage Décor
h. Others

II. Income-generating activities:

a. ODL- Volleyball Entry Fee


b. Basketball Exhibit Game Entrance Fee
c. Solicitations
