1.PURPOSE

The purpose of this Work Procedure is to provide a controlled system of


operation within project specifications and applicable codes/standards.

2.SCOPE

This Work Procedure shall cover Structural support shoring work and
identify the responsible personnel, sequence of operations and HSE Guidelines.

3.RESPONSIBILITIES

 Project Manager/ Site Engineer to ensure that site supervisor / Foreman


are familiar with work instruction, quality control and safety requirements
for the activity and ensure that these requirements are put into practice.
 The Site Engineer shall be responsible for all the works being carried out.
 Site Supervisor is responsible for the continuous supervision of the work.
 Safety Engineer is responsible to monitor the work and ensure the safety
in the proposed work.

6- PREPRATION BEFORE WORK START-

1- PTW must be taken before starting the job.


2- Check all available drawings and Instruction documents before starting
Shoring work
3- If any service and power supply is likely to be affected, it must be
Checked & removed prior to commencing work
4- Debris & Mud needs to be removed prior to commissioning work.

5- Placing of all the required material on job location


6- Safe Access must be provided for worker movement.

7- Check the other activity and provide safe distance for work and area
should be barricaded.
7- Sequence of the work
 Preparation of ground and estimated location.
 Layout and marking as per instruction.
 Cutting of ISMB/ ISMC as per Required size
 Placing of ISMB/ ISMC material near fixing Location.
 Fixing or Push down of ISMB/ISMC by Hammer or Excavator.
 Fixing of MS plate/ sheet by welding
 Fixing of support

9- SAFETY ASPECTS:
 All Labours involved in the above works will be using all PPEs.
 Proper Barricading shall be provided to the area.
 Proper access must be provided.
 Before the Starting Shoring work of an area, the area will be confirmed
to be free of any service lines/ cables.

 All the machineries proposed to be used in the work shall be checked.

 All involved in this specific activity shall know the escape route & assembly area.
 Ensure Exits are not to be blocked in any situation.
