Amber: (frustrated, with a hint of anger) "Ma'am, why didn't you pick me for the
inter-school debate this year? Why did you kick me out of the group? I won a gold
medal as the best speaker last year, and now I can't join anymore?"

Ma'am Ybañez: (calmly) "You're done, Amber. Give others a chance. You can try
joining journalism in your senior year!"

Amber: (determined) "No, Ma'am! Debate is my forte, and I don't want to join
journalism."

Ma'am Ybañez: (suggestive) "You can try broadcasting, dear. They're looking for a
new anchor."

Amber: (disappointed) "So who did you put in the debate team to replace me?"

Jaxon: (voice from the back, casually) "Me."

[Amber's attention is caught, she looks at Jaxon and mutters under her breath.]

Amber: (whispering) "Oh sh*t, I knew it."

Jaxon: (smirking) "Ma'am Ybañez is right, you should join broadcasting."

Amber: (sarcastic) "Oh really!? You think so!?"

Jaxon: (playful tone) "Yeah, I do."

Amber: (provoked) "You want me to join broadcasting so you can steal my position in
the debate team!"

Jaxon: (laughs) "Yup, pretty much. You're already pissed at me now, imagine how it
would be in the inter-school competition. You might even end up punching someone
there. So, let me join, huh? It'll be safer for the school's reputation. Given your
short fuse, it's not exactly helping, you know..."

Ma'am Ybañez: (interrupting) "Reigo and Sevilla, stop this now."

Amber: (determined, with a hint of threat) "You'll pay for this."

Jaxon: (confident) "Oh really? I'll wait then."

[Amber storms out of the room, visibly upset. Keirra and Luna notice her and
approach her.]

Keirra: (concerned) "Hey, girl, what happened? Are you okay?"

Luna: (skeptical) "Probably not."

Keirra: "What happened?"

[Luna leans closer to Keirra and whispers something.]

Luna: "She got kicked out of the debate team."

Amber: (defiant) "I wasn't kicked out."

[Amber turns her head away, avoiding eye contact with her friends.]

Amber: (with emphasis) "Reigo stole what's MINE, again."

[Keirra and Luna's mouths form an 'o' shape, and an awkward silence fills the air
between the three of them.]

They enter their room and take a seat. Amber rolls her eyes as Jaxon walks in. Just
then, another classmate enters the room.

Classmate 1: "Ma'am returned our quiz papers. Congratulations to the one who got a
perfect score."

Amber furrows her brow and is shocked to see that she received a 49/50.

Amber & Jaxon: (Exclaim loudly, looking at their papers) "WHAT!?"

They lock eyes, their gazes filled with anger.

Amber & Jaxon: (Simultaneously, they both stand up and angrily ask) "WHY WASN'T I
THE ONE WHO GOT A PERFECT SCORE?"

Jaxon: (Looks at Amber) "What's your score!?"

Amber: "And you!? What's your score, huh!?"

Jaxon: "49."

Classmate 1: "Kio got the perfect score."

Classmate 2: (interjecting) "Wow, Kio, that's impressive! How did you manage to get
a perfect score?"

Kio: (modestly) "Oh, it was just a combination of studying and luck, I guess."

Amber: (frustrated) "Well, congratulations, Kio. But it's just so unfair! I worked
hard for that quiz, and I only missed one question!"

Jaxon: (sarcastically) "Aw, poor Amber. One mistake ruined your perfect score.
Tough luck."

Amber: (angry) "Don't mock me, Jaxon! You're just enjoying this, aren't you?"

Jaxon: (smirking) "Maybe I am. But it's not my fault you couldn't handle the
pressure."

Amber: (defiant) "I can handle pressure just fine! And I'll prove it to you."

Amber goes out as the school bell rang.

Luna: (encouraging) "Amber, don't let this get to you. You're still an amazing
debater."

Keirra: (supportive) "Yeah, don't let Jaxon's words bring you down. Show him what
you're made of!"

Amber: (determined) "You're right. I won't let this setback define me. I'll work
even harder and show everyone that I deserve to be in the debate team."

Amber: (enthusiastic) "Alright, guys, let's dive into some intense debate training!
We need to polish our skills and be ready for anything."

Luna: (excited) "I'm ready! Let's start with a practice round. I'll take the
opposing side, and you can argue your points."

Keirra: (supportive) "And I'll be the moderator, keeping track of time and ensuring
a fair debate."

dedication, I and your team leader, Samantha, have made a decision. I want both of
you to continue as key members of the debate team."

Amber: (overjoyed) "Really? That means the world to me, Ms. Ybanez. Thank you!"

Jaxon: (grateful) "We're honored to be given this opportunity. We won't let you
down."

[Samantha comes forward with Luna]

Samantha: (proud) "I have full confidence in both of you. Your skills have the
