PROJECT PROPOSAL

Title of Activity: ELDERLY WEEK CELEBRATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF IGUIG


Date of Activity: November 7-8, 2023
Venue: IGUIG MUNICIPAL GYMNASIUM
Rationale:
In 1994, President Fidel Ramos issued Proclamation No. 470 declaring October 1-7 as
Filipino Elderly Week. In celebration of the Elderly Week with the theme “Resilience of Older
Persons for Nation Building”, the Iguig Federation of Senior Citizens will be conducting the
following activities:

1. Medical Mission and Giving of Reading Glasses on November 8, 2023 to be


participated by at least 500 members from the different barangays in the
municipality.
2. Inter-barangay Zumba Dance Competition on November 7, 2023 to be participated
by 10 cluster barangays
Objectives of the Activity
To give importance and to recognize the contributions of the elderly in our society and in
the development of our country. Furthermore, to thank senior citizens for their love, care and
sacrifices in rearing us and providing our needs when we were young.
And more importantly, the medical mission enables sick senior citizen to consult a
Medical Doctor, give them free maintenance medicines and vitamins and reading glasses to those
who are in need. The Zumba Dance shall be a good form of exercise to the elderly people.

Budgetary Requirements:
Activity 1- MEDICAL MISSION AND GIVING OF READING GLASSES
Meals of Medical Doctors and other guests:
100 covers x ₱300.00/cover = 30,000.00
Snacks for Senior Citizens 500 covers x ₱70.00/cover = 35,000.00
Token 5 sets x ₱1,000.00 = 50,000.00
Purchase of Reading Glasses 5 sets x ₱1,000.00 = 50,000.00
Purchase of Medicines 100,000.00
Total ₱215, 000.00
