 PREFACE
As a part of the MBA curriculum and to gain practical
knowledge in the field of management, we are required to make
a “SODECA File” (Social Outreach Discipline and Extra
Curriculum Activities). The basic objective behind doing this
file is to get knowledge of skills which is required in every
corporate field.

Doing this file work helped us to enhance our ideas,

understanding, learning, attitude toward the corporate world
and daily life. Through this file, we came to know about the
importance of communication and the role of devotion to the
work.

 INTRODUCTION
On campus college events shape the social and intellectual
fabric of your university’s campus. But if you want to draw
interest, you will need to look beyond the standards talks and
job fairs. College students, especially freshmen, want new and
authentic ways to connect.

1. Marketing Workshops

Students must show their marketing skills in these events.

Specially designed for business students. Here all participants
will be given a certain number of the products to sell at a certain
price and they must sell them to random people or guests or
convince them to buy the product. At the end of the certain
time, the sale will be calculated and the winner will be decided.
This is innovative as well as makes students ready for a career.

 2. Cultural Competitions

For the young generations who have the talent and special
skills. The cultural competitions can be solo, group, or can
be western and classical or can be folk or modern in case of
singing and dancing. There can also be a separate section of
musical instrument playing and folk-dance performance

 3. Online Events

Nowadays most students like the online event and

many institutions have held online events during their
fest. Some of them are through apps like musically,
dub-mash. Other online events include Aptitude tests
for developers where you can compete with other
developers also.

 4. Wall Painting

The wall painting competition is also one of the

popular and creative events of the college fest. Not
only in college, nowadays several schools hold this
wall competition. Here the participants are work on
different themes and compete with the participants of
other institution. There are several themes like horror,
fantasy, animal, character, abstracts among several
others to choose from.

 5. Fashion Shows

The fashion show is a popular college event not only for

the aspirant designer or the model but for anyone who
has a interest in this field. This can be innovative like
including themed fashion or include makeup and nail
art along with fashion show as nowadays these are
emerging industry.

6. Awareness Programs

This can be useful for college students as well as

the public. During the fest, a group of students can
visit some area and spread awareness about
various topic related to a social issue, or can be of
traffic or pollution in urban areas.

 7. Dental Campaigns

This can be useful for the college students as well as the

public. During a fest if someone got any toothache so if
the doctors were available there they can immediately
recommend the patient to the hospital.

 8. Start Up Events

The startup is the new trend in India and the world

were everyone wants to their own boss than be
regular 9 to 5 employees. Here the participant has to
come up with innovative start-up ideas, case study,
profit, impact and make it feasible and work.

 9. Hiking Trips

Hiking trips at Nahargarh Fort with college and

friends are amazing, viewing the sunrise in the
early morning and gathering as manymemories.

 10. Diwali Feasts
Diwali a 5-day festival where we enjoy with
our family, friends and enjoy the celebration
event at the college campus also. We dance,
sing, fire crackers, make rangolis, eat sweets
and make memories.

 11. Poetry Recitation

The best career for the students who loves to write and
have hidden talent of poetry recitation. This is the most
popular event in the colleges, and outside the world
also. This is the most loving and creative event.

 12. Health Campaigns
This can be useful for the college students as well as
the public. During a fest if someone got any injury or
any medical emergency so if the doctors were
available there they can immediately recommend the
patient to the hospital.

 13. Field Visits

Field visits include the industrial exposure of the

students to different organizations like Saras, Parle G,
and other technological parks and industries. This can
be beneficial to the students as they can learn about
the new inventions and technologies.

The most valuable and important event held in the

schools and even colleges amongst a group of students
within a team. Were the students have to give their
opinions in the favour or against of a given situation or
topic, it can be related to politics, newspapers, study or
any other topics.

IT quiz can be arranged for students to

increase their technical knowledge. Here also
the several colleges and institutes can come
and form a team and compete.
