Grade 10 CSS - Remedial Q2

This document contains information about converting between binary, decimal, and other data storage units like bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, and gigabytes. It includes activities that ask students to sequence steps for decimal to binary conversion, solve conversion problems, determine if statements are true or false, identify terms related to data storage and computing, and explain the importance of understanding data conversion and calculation. Students are asked to provide feedback on the lesson by describing what they learned and the importance of knowing proper conversion procedures.

ACTIVITY 1
Sequence the steps to convert decimal to binary by writing the letters A - F on the blank
provided before each number.
____ 1. Get the quotient and remainder again.
____ 2. Get the quotient and the remainder.
____ 3. Bring down the quotient, divide it by 2,
____ 4. Divide the number by 2.
____ 5. Copy the remainder from bottom to top, and that is the binary equivalent.
____ 6. Do it repeatedly until the quotient results to 0.

ACTIVITY 2
A. Write True if the statement is correct, otherwise, write False.

3. What is the importance of wearing anti-static wrist strap when holding a component?
Activity 6
Directions: Solve each of the following problems using conversion and calculation
of bit, byte, KB, MB, GB and TB. Write the solution.
1. Convert 70,890,564,320 bytes to Gigabytes.
2. Convert 2 TB to KB.
3. Convert 240 bits to byte.
4. Convert 400 bytes to bits.

ACTIVITY 7. GUESS THE WHAT?

Direction: Identify what each sentence refers to.
____________________1. If Bit (b) is the short for binary digit either 0 or 1, I am the unit of computer
information consisting of eight (8) bits. What am I?
