A computer also requires people to operate it and follow procedures or manuals. The five basic components of a computer are the system unit, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and AVC. A computer takes in input through devices like a camera or mouse, processes data using the CPU, and outputs the results to devices like a monitor or printer. It also stores files and memory on storage devices like a hard drive, DVD, or flash drive.

What is a computer?

A computer is an electronic programmable device that can store, retrieve or process data.

Hardware- an hardware is a computer related thing or device that can be touched and seen. They are
mostly used for entering data and for displaying it. Examples are keyboard, mouse, monitor, speaker
and etc.

Software- a software is something that you can see but you can't touch. These are the applications or
programs on a monitor or computer. Examples are Microsoft Applications, Instagram, Twitter and
Facebook.

Peopleware- people wares are users that manipulate or controls the computer.

Procedure- these are the set of instructions that a user follows. This are like a manual from where the
user gets more information about the computer or device he or she bought.

Five Basic Components of a Computer :

1. System Unit- the system unit is also known as the Computer Chassis.

2. Keyboard- a set of keys and functions that are used for entering different characters or elements to
the computer.

3. Mouse- it is used to move the cursor from place to place.

4. Monitor- it is where the informations are displayed or shown.

5.AVC or Automatic Voltage Regulator - it's function is to reduce the flow of voltage in a computer to
prevent over heating and explosion.

Input- used for entering different elements and characters to the computer.

examples: Camera, Scanner,Mouse, Key

Processing- it does the task given by the user.

-it is the brain of a computer or the

control system

- it processes data

- it provides a set of instructions

example: CPU or Central Processing Unit.

Output- shows the result an output.

- allows user to interact.

- it delivers data

example: printer, monitor, speaker or headphones

Storage and Memory- it is where the files or documents are stored.

example: DVD(Digital Versatile Disc), CD( Compact Disc), hard disk, flash drive.
