Answer Question 1 in Part I and any other four Questions in Part II.
Answer all the questions in your answer booklet.

SECTION A – 40 marks
Answer all of Question 1.

Study the diagram carefully and answer the questions that follow

(i) Name the organs labelled X and Y and the main function of each. [2 marks]
(ii) Identify the vessels labelled I, II, III and IV and their functions. [4 marks]
(iii) Give four diseases of the circulatory system in humans. [2 marks]
(iv) Give two ways we can prevent diseases of the circulatory system. [2 marks]
(c) The diagram below represents a simple lever system.

uses an effort of 25N which moves through a distance of 4m, calculates its
