RESUME
A resume, also known as a curriculum vitae (CV), is a concise document used by
individuals to present their professional background, skills, education, work experience, and
accomplishments to potential employers or recruiters. Resumes are typically submitted as
part of a job application process and serve as a snapshot of a person's qualifications for a
specific job or career opportunity.

A well-written resume typically includes sections such as:

Contact Information
Name, phone number, email address, and physical address.

Summary or Objective
A brief statement highlighting your career goals and what you can bring to the role.

Education
Information about your academic background, including degrees earned, institutions
attended, and graduation dates.

Work Experience
A list of your previous jobs, including the job title, company name, dates of employment,
and a description of your responsibilities and achievements.

Skills
Relevant skills that pertain to the job you're applying for, such as technical skills,
language proficiency, or certifications.

Achievements or Accomplishments
Specific accomplishments or projects that showcase your capabilities.

Additional Sections
Depending on the industry and the specific job, you might include sections like
certifications, professional affiliations, volunteer work, or relevant hobbies.

Resumes are crucial in the job application process as they provide employers with a
quick overview of your qualifications. It's important to tailor your resume to each job
application by highlighting the skills and experiences most relevant to the position. A well-
crafted resume can significantly increase your chances of landing interviews and job offers.

ACTIVITY 2

APPLICATION LETTER WRITING

An application letter, also known as a cover letter, is a formal written document that
accompanies a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) when applying for a job, internship, or
educational program. Its purpose is to introduce yourself to the potential employer or
institution, explain your qualifications, highlight relevant skills and experiences, and express
your interest in the position or opportunity.

An effective application letter typically includes:

1. Contact Information: Your name, address, phone number, and email address.

2. Salutation: A formal greeting addressing the recipient. If you know the person's
name, use "Dear [Name]," followed by a colon.

3. Introduction: A brief introduction of yourself and the purpose of the letter. Mention
the specific job or opportunity you are applying for.

4. Body: This is the main part of the letter. It should showcase your qualifications,
experiences, and skills that make you a suitable candidate for the position. You can
also explain how your background aligns with the requirements of the role and the
company's values.

5. Closing: Thank the reader for considering your application and express your interest
in further discussing your qualifications. You can use phrases like "Sincerely," "Best
regards," or "Yours faithfully," followed by your signature and typed name.

6. Enclosure: If you're sending physical copies, you can mention that your resume or
other documents are enclosed with the letter.

7. Attachment: If you're sending the letter electronically, you might write "Attachment:
[YourName_CoverLetter.pdf]" at the end of the letter.

Remember that an application letter is a formal document, so it's important to maintain a

professional tone, keep it concise (usually around one page), and tailor it to the specific job
or opportunity you're applying for. It's an opportunity to showcase your communication skills
and present a compelling case for why you're the right candidate for the position.

Yes. Before the mock interview I was very nervous and anxious because of the thought
that I might not be able to answer the questions. But to my surprise, it was a lot easier than I
thought it would be. Now I am confident to answer job interview questions because of my
first experience that did well.

talents, and skills to take up the vigor of being a worker? What should you possess to
become a good worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?
To become a good worker, one should possess a combination of essential skills,
qualities, and attitudes. I believe I am prepared to work, as I have the potential, character,
talents, and skills necessary to thrive in a work environment. To prepare for work immersion,
I will first assess my strengths and weaknesses to identify areas for improvement. Then, I
will focus on developing the necessary skills and capabilities required to excel in a work
environment. This will involve enhancing my communication skills through practice and
feedback, as well as my adaptability by exposing myself to different situations and
challenges.

ACTIVITY 11
CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE (SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS)
Suppose you work in a police station or a law firm and signed a confidentiality
agreement regarding all the cases at hand, suddenly your friend who was a suspect to a
crime asked you for some documents that are in your office’s possession that may help him
in his case. How would you deal with the situation?
As an employee in a police station or law firm with serious responsibilities,
confidentiality agreements are the foundation of trust in the legal system. Sharing any case
details, especially with someone suspected in a crime, goes against everything I stand for. If
a close friend of mine were to ask me for documents that could potentially aid their case, I
would have to respectfully decline their request. providing such documents would not only
violate the confidentiality agreements i’ve signed but also compromise the integrity of the
legal process and potentially obstruct justice. Instead, I would advise my friend to seek legal
counsel and follow the appropriate legal channels for obtaining any relevant documents and
evidence for their case.
ACTIVITY 12
CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Have you ever experienced disagreement and conflict with co-workers? How did you
handle the situation? How would you rate your skills in handling differences of opinion?
Please give an example that illustrates that skill.

Yes, I’ve encountered disagreements and conflicts with coworkers during my work
immersion in the City Transportation and Traffic Management Division (CTTMD). One
particular instance involved a disagreement about delegation of tasks within our team. Some
team members felt that certain tasks were unfairly distributed, leading to tension and
frustration.

To handle the situation, we openly discuss our concerns and find a resolution together
to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to express their viewpoints and concerts. After
that, we identified potential solutions to distribute tasks more fairly. We allocate tasks based
on each team member’s strengths, workload, and preferences.

Overall, my proficiency in handling differences of opinion is evidenced by this example.

Handling conflicts in a tactful manner had successfully resolved the disagreement and
helped maintain a positive working relationship with my coworkers.

IMMERSION PROPER
Dear student, you are now nearing your immersion proper. Before the immersion

ACTIVITY 13
SECURING HEALTH/ ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Work immersion accident insurance, also known as internship accident insurance, is a
type of insurance coverage that provides protection to individuals during the period of their
work immersion or internship. Work immersion refers to a structured educational program
where students or trainees gain hands-on experience in a real-world work environment
related to their field of study.
This type of insurance is designed to cover medical expenses and other financial costs
that may arise if the student or trainee gets injured or experiences an accident while
participating in the work immersion program. It's important because traditional health
insurance policies might not always cover accidents that occur in a workplace setting during
these educational activities.
Work immersion accident insurance typically offers coverage for various situations
such as accidents, injuries, and sometimes even disability resulting from incidents during the
internship period. This can include medical treatment costs, hospitalization expenses, and in
some cases, compensation for partial or permanent disability. The specifics of coverage can
vary depending on the insurance provider and the terms of the policy.
ACTIVITY 14
PARENTS’ CONSENT FORM
A Parent’s Consent is a document that seeks the approval or consent of a parent or
legal guardian for their child to engage in a specific activity. It outlines the nature of the
activity, its purpose, the date and location, and any potential risks involved. By signing the
consent form, the parent or guardian acknowledges that they are aware of the activity and its
associated risks and grants permission for their child to participate.
A waiver is a legal document that releases an individual or organization from liability for
(Please attach a copy of your health/ accident insurance)
any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur as a result of participating in a particular
activity. When a participant signs a waiver, they essentially agree not to hold the organizers
responsible for any negative outcomes that might arise during the activity. This is often used
to protect organizers, institutions, or businesses from potential legal actions.

DAILY TASK RECORD / DAILY JOURNAL
A daily task record is a work log that summarizes how an employee spends his time on
the job. Through a daily work log, an employee can create a mental picture of what
comprises his day and how he uses his time. It is also helpful in understanding how
productive an employee is during a particular period of the workday.

Accomplish your daily task record.

NARRATIVE REPORT
Direction: Write a narrative on your experiences as a work immersion student. In your
narrative, compare your experiences in school and your experiences on-site, your newly-
acquired skills, knowledge and attitude.

March 11, 2024: On the first day of our work immersion at CCTMD, I felt nervous, but
the office staff's friendliness and welcoming attitude quickly put me at ease. As we
familiarized ourselves with the various divisions within CCTMD – Planning and Management,
Regulatory and Compliance, Traffic Management, and Public Transportation Operations – I
found myself assigned to the Public Transportation Operations Division. Under the guidance
of Ma'am Eli, my supervisor, I was tasked with calling TUPAD drivers, which initially made
me apprehensive due to the potential for everyone to hear me. However, I pushed through
and successfully completed the task.

March 12, 2024: The second day proved to be less hectic, allowing me time to read a
new city ordinance, providing valuable insights into Butuan City's transportation regulations.
Later, we were tasked with brainstorming ideas for an infographic aimed at assisting
commuters.

March 13, 2024: Our visit to the city hall was scheduled for March 13, where we
collected a signed letter and checked on inventory updates. Upon returning to the office, we
meticulously counted and recorded each item.

March 14, 2024: On March 14, I was assigned to the regulatory division at the
LTFRB office, where I assisted in addressing driver concerns and observed many
impounded vehicles. Though it was occasionally stressful, the experience was rich in
learning opportunities.

March 15, 2024: The last day of our immersion, March 15, was eventful. We assisted
with a mandatory drug test for CCTMD employees and then helped organize a commuters'
forum in Barangay Tandang Sora. It was rewarding to be part of these activities. At the end
of the day, we received certificates marking the end of our immersion.

Throughout the five day experience, it was highly educational and gave me valuable
insights into the practical application of my education. This opportunity also helped me
understand more about the career path I want to pursue and the skills I need to be
successful. Being immersed in a real-world work environment expanded my knowledge and
gave me the confidence and independence to take on different tasks and projects.
