Innotek-2024: LPU’s Innovation and


Graduating Project Expo
About Innotek:

Welcome to Innotek'24 - LPU’s Innovation & Graduating Project Expo, a distinguished platform
designed for university students to present the culmination of their practical learning experiences
throughout their degree programs. This Expo serves as a venue for showcasing innovative
implementations, including prototypes, products, posters, performances, and more. Organized
annually by the Department of Student Research and Project under the auspices of the Student
Welfare Wing, Innotek'24 offers students a unique opportunity to address contemporary societal
challenges faced by both governmental and private sector organizations. Participants will engage
in developing cutting-edge solutions for some of the world's largest corporations, thereby aiding
the private sector in recruiting top talents from the university, exemplifying our commitment to
fostering excellence in academia and industry collaboration.

Guidelines for Registration

1. Minimum 2 and Maximum 5 members can form a team.


2. Only team leader/mentor of nominated idea from school can register for the event.
3. Interdisciplinary Teams are also allowed. The registration will be claimed by the team
leader of respective school and will be counted as an entry of team leader school only for
team number count purpose.
4. Participant should submit their ideas as per Format circulated by us(Annexure 1). Student
from Applied Arts does not require to fill or submit the Annexure 1.
5. While submitting the Annexure 1, ensure to mention the Category and Theme.
6. Themes and Category are clearly mention in the Guideline so kindly fill accordingly.
7. A single team cannot submit more than two ideas.
8. A participant cannot be a part of more than one team.
9. Registration Link: Idea/Prototype selected by individual school will register their idea in
the given link: A@LPU

Guidelines for PPT( except Creative Arts/Architecture/Social


Science/Education)
Your PPT should preferably contain the following slides:
● Cover Slide(Title of the Project, Detail of Team, mentor and School)

● Theme and Problem Statement

● Solution to Problem Statement

● Technology Used/Working/Explanation.

● Innovation /USP/Uniqueness

● Budget analysis

● Scalability options and target customers


● Cost-Profit Analysis

● In case of any technical difficulty, directly send the PPT by attachment to the organizer's
email id.

Guidelines for Display( schools, whose output work is based on sheets, will
display their project work as sheets only).
1) Architecture/ Creative Arts/Social Science.
● Projects should be original and based on new/innovative ideas and must have undergone
some exploration and ground work to prove its feasibility and show impact.
● Participants must use display materials such as posters, digital presentations, physical
models, or interactive exhibits to showcase their projects effectively.
● Participants can conduct live demonstrations or performances related to their projects,
especially for creative arts, music, dance, or fashion.
● For creative arts, fashion, and fine arts, create a portfolio display with sketches, designs,
and photographs.
● Display project documentation such as sketches, drafts, concept maps, and timelines
(wherever required).
● Students can display their Poster (for Architecture) as per their professional entitled
manner.

2) Prototype/Research Display Guidelines


● Projects should be original and based on new/innovative ideas and must have undergone
some exploration and ground work to prove its feasibility and show impact.
● The Projects can be presented in the form of live demonstrations /models / digital
showcase in any aforementioned areas/fields.
● It should be fully working model/valid research outcome/field survey analysis

● Participants should bring all their requirements to execute their project.

● The Participant will have to carry a Poster of 1m*1m(as per format) to showcase their
work(The poster background colours not frozen, these can be changed if required as
per the content of the project. Otherwise, the main content should be as it is as
mentioned)
● In case of App/Website or any other research oriented work where physical prototype
cannot be displayed must have to present their work in laptop.
● The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit.

Criteria for Assessment of Projects


All the projects will be assessed on the basis of following criteria. Each criterion is Assigned
some weightage. The final selection of projects will be based on the Cumulative weightage given
on all criteria.

Apart from the above criteria, Scope of Commercialization of the projects will be considered as
an additional merit. However, there will be no weightage point for this criterion. In case of the
projects having scored equal cumulative weightage point, this criterion will be considered for
making the final decision.

Process of Selecting School as Overall Winner in the Competition.


1) If a project of school wins 1 st Position in any of the Category that school will be allotted with
9 Points
2) If a project under any school wins 2 nd Position in any of the category that school will be
allotted with 7 points.
3) If a Project under any school wins 3 rd Position in any of the category that school will be
allotted with 5 points.
4) In case interdisciplinary participation, if any interdisciplinary team wins any of the position,
all the school involved in that project will be awarded with equivalent points as mentioned
above(Example ECE , CSE and Biotech participated as an interdisciplinary team and wins 1 st
prize ,then all school will get 9 points each).
5) The sum of all the points will declare School with title of Overall Innovation Champion.
