Theme : Reimagine Security

The world buzzes with technological advancements, and door locks

haven't been left behind. Fingerprint scanners, facial recognition,
and sophisticated number pad combinations promise enhanced
security. Yet, in many Indian households, these innovations remain
locked out. Cost, familiarity, and ease of use are just some hurdles
preventing wider adoption.

The humble bolt latch and key, despite their simplicity, endure.
They are affordable, replaceable, and offer brute-force resistance.
However, despite these positive aspects, the user experience falls flat.
Fumbling with keys, juggling packages, and the two-handed
operation feel archaic in our fast-paced lives.

This challenge asks you to bridge the gap. Design a door locking
mechanism that reimagines security and the user’s experience
(Fulfilling and engaging). It should be simpler, intuitive, and
seamlessly integrate into daily life, addressing the needs of the
Indian context. Don't compromise on safety, but prioritize ease of use.

Think beyond trending technologies. How can you offer enhanced

security without overwhelming users with complexity? Can your
design cater to diverse users, ages, and abilities? Remember,
changing ingrained habits requires an effortless and superior
alternative.
