Design Trek

“Thinker to Maker”

To commemorate Foundation Day Aaroh 2024, the Entrepreneurship Club and the Design
Technology Club of NID Haryana jointly propose Design Trek, a design based competitive
event where teams solve real world problems and create design solutions on the given themes.

Design Trek is more than an event - it's a transformative journey that empowers you to shape

Theme: Make in India


Junior category: 9th-12th grade students
Theme: How will you promote ‘Make In India’ under the following sub themes:

● Health and Wellness


● Energy
● Food Processing
● Travel and Transportation

Senior Category: College Undergraduate Students

● Health and Wellness


● Energy
● Food Processing
● Travel and Transportation

Participants are required to choose any one theme and prepare their project.

-School Students (Grade 9th to 12th) : Register On

-College students (undergraduate): Register On

Rules
● Participation is open to students with valid college/school ID cards who have
registered for the event. Only group entries are accepted, with group sizes of
minimum 2 and maximum 4 members. Cross-college/ school teams are permitted.
Only 4 teams per school/ college allowed.
● All design submissions must align with the event's central theme.
● All design submissions must be submitted by the specified deadline, which will be
communicated to all participants in advance.
● A detailed template with specific guidelines is shared with participants in this
document.
● Develop an innovative idea under the theme chosen out of the given list. Your idea can
be a product, interface, service, or system. Create a prototype to showcase your
idea (encouraged, at least low fidelity models)
● The idea must be presented to the jury, with a strict time limit of 10 minutes per
team.
● All designs and concepts submitted must be original work created by the participants.
Plagiarism or unauthorized use of others' work will result in disqualification.
● All participants are expected to maintain a respectful and inclusive atmosphere during
the competition. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may lead to disqualification.
● Deadline for registration: 6th November 2024, 10:00 PM
● Deadline for Template Submission: 11th November 2024
● Presentation: 13th November 2024, 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM
