Order and degree of a differential equation


1. Write the order and degree of the following differential equations
i. 3𝑥 + =𝑦

2. Solution of differential equation by the method of separation of variables

ii. Find the particular solution of the differential equation = 1 + 𝑥 + 𝑦 + 𝑥𝑦,
given that 𝑦 = 0 when 𝑥 = 1
iii. Find the particular solution of the differential equation:
= 1 + 𝑥 + 𝑦 + 𝑥 𝑦 , given that y=1 when x=0.

iv. Solve the differential equation log = 3𝑥 + 4𝑦


v. solution of the differential equation (x – y) (dx + dy) = dx – dy,
given that y = –1, when x = 0. (Hint: put x – y = t)
vi. Solve the differential equation = sin (𝑥 + 𝑦)
