8:50 – 9:40 am – Group 2
9:40 – 10:30 am – Group 3
10:30 – 11:20 am – Group 4
12:10 – 1:00 pm – Group 5

Course Description:
The regular ninth grade Mathematics course covers the following: numbers and operations, algebra
and algebraic thinking, measurement and data, and geometry.
This summer we will focus on number and operations, with rational numbers as our focus.
We will focus on the following common core state standards.
CCSS.Math.Content.A.SSE.1.a
Interprets parts of an expression, such as terms factors, and coefficient.
CCSS.Math.Content.N.RN.3
Explain why the sum or product of two rational numbers is rational; that the sum of a rational number
and an irrational number is irrational…
CCSS.Math.Content.A.REI.3
Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients
represented by letters

Week 1: (June 7 – 11, 2021) - ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION & INTEGERS: ADDITION,
SUBTRACTION, MULTIPLICATION & DIVISION of Numbers & With Variables
Week 2: (June 14 – 18, 2021) - ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION, ORDER OF OPERATIONS &
EVALUATING EXPRESSIONS: PEMDAS RULE & With Variables
Week 3: (June 21 – 25, 2021) - SOLVING EQUATIONS (Properties of Equality): ADDITION,
SUBTRACTION, MULTIPLICATION & DIVISION Property of Equality
