Am I right? inform is really convincing
Let me show you this photograph captioned especially when we read comments
“Igorot with a tail in the Bontoc Province”

c.) Presenting
Examples/Insta
nces of the
Lesson
In 1925, a story about a "tailed Igorot" was
published in the American science magazine
Journal, sparking widespread interest in the
existence of humans with tails. But it was later
revealed as fake because it was edited and just
intended as a joke.

The fake photograph may have been intended

as a joke, but it has already created prejudice
among all those who have seen the photo.
Whenever they hear the word Igorot or see
Igorot people, they will think of a tail and it
develop a different perspective that can lead to
bias and discrimination.

That is the negative impact of fake

information. That even if it is justified that
tailed Igorot was fake, it has already damaged
the identity of the ethnicity or group of Igorot.
