Bài 5: The line chart shows the percentage of female members of parliament in European
countries from 2000 to 2012.
The graph/chart illustrates the figures for/the proportion of female members of parliaments in five countries in Europe
between 2000 and 2012.
Overall, there was an increase in the percentage of female members of parliament in all five examined countries, with
the UK witnessing the most significant rise. It is also clear that the lowest figures belonged to the UK over the period.
In 2000, the rate of women member of parliament in Germany started at about 34%, after which it experienced a slow
rise to 36% in the final year. A similar change could be seen in the figures for Italy and the UK, which increased from 26%
to nearly 40% and from about 4% to around 27% after 12 years respectively.

subsequent/following increase/growth to its highest point of about 36% in 2004, before falling to about 31% in 2012.
Similarly, the figure for Belgium increased significantly from 16% to about 28% from 2000 to 2004, followed by a relative
levelling off/stability until the last year of the period.
