Q33. On her birthday, Hayat decided to donate some money to children of an orphanage home. If there
were 8 children less, everyone would have 10 more. However if there were 16 children more,
everyone would have got 10 less. Using matrix method, find the number of children and the amount
distributed by Hayat.
Q34. A man wants to donate a rectangular plot of land for a school in his village. When he was asked to
give the dimensions of the plot, he told that if its length is decreased by 50m and breadth is increased
by 50 m, then its area remains same, but if its length is decreased by 10 m and breadth is decreased by
20 m, then its area will decreased by 5300 m 2 . Using matrices, find the dimensions of the plot.

Q36. A school wants to award its students for the values of Honesty, Regularity and Hard work with a total
cash award of 6000. Three times the award money for Hard work added to that given for honesty
amount to 11000. The award money given for honesty and hard work together is double the one given
for regularity. Represent the above situation algebraically and find the award money for each value,
using matrix method.
Q37. Two cricket teams honored their players for three values, excellent batting, to the point bowling and
unparalleled fielding by giving x, y and z per player respectively. The first team paid
respectively 2,2 and 1 players for above values for the total price money of 11 lacks, while the second
team paid respectively 1, 2 and 2 players for these values with a total award money of 9 Lakhs. If
total award money for one person each for these values to 6 lakhs, then express the above situation as
a matrix equations and find award money per person for each value.
