The given maps provide the comparison of the layout of a particular island named Paradise over the
time.
Overall, the island used to serve for the progress of scientific experiments, but there has been a shift in
purpose towards tourism and entertainment. Additionally, a complete removal of greenery in the
middle of the island has been recorded over the period shown, in contrast to the addition of a path
skirting the edge of the island for cyclists by which visitors can go on a tour around the island as well
as to approach most facilities readily available.
With regard to the left side of the island, the station serving the purpose of science has been replaced
by a square-shaped complex of accommodation for tourists which is adjacent to a nearly circular
swimming pool. The north-western tip of the island experienced the shrinkage of the beach area, but
the redeveloped beach now allows tourists to go swimming. Another feature of development worth

mentioning is the expansion of the pier which facilitates the access of major marina means of
transport like cruise ships, instead of welcoming only small boats as before the renovation.
Looking at the other side of the map, we can see that connecting to the aforementioned hotel building
is a specific place where visitors to the island can dine outdoors, whose shape is similar to concentric
rings. The vicinity of this open-air dining facility is the area for BBQ parties and further to the east is
a café which offers the view of the nearby natural spring. Another remarkable newly-constructed
structure to the north-east of the island is the vantage point, which provides the tourists a panoramic
ocean view. Besides the natural spring, the rocky area is another landscape that remains unchanged
over time.
