critical professional development strategy aimed at enhancing teacher

2024-2025, Palao Elementary School seeks to focus on strengthening the
creation of Combination Lesson Plans and Learning Activity Sheets

fire that ignites the child’s desire to win more games but most importantly,
sports teach them that winning is sweeter when it is celebrated with humility
and when magnanimity becomes a source of inspiration for others to play
future games better.

IV. Rationale and Objectives:

In the context of educational planning, combination lesson plans are

designed to integrate multiple subjects or learning competencies into a
cohesive instructional framework. This approach is particularly beneficial for
Grades 2 and 3 as it addresses the developmental needs of young learners
who are transitioning from basic skills to more complex understanding.

This Learning Action Cell (LAC) serves as a critical professional development

strategy aimed at enhancing teacher effectiveness and improving student
learning outcomes. For the School Year 2024-2025, Palao Elementary School
seeks to focus on strengthening the creation of Combination Lesson Plans
and Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) that are aligned with the Department of
Education’s (DepEd) Matatag Curriculum.

With the dynamic and diverse learning needs of students, it is essential for
teachers to collaborate in crafting well-integrated lesson plans that address
multiple learning competencies. The development of LAS is equally
important as these provide students with engaging, meaningful activities
that reinforce classroom learning. Through a series of workshops, peer
reviews, and hands-on sessions, teachers will enhance their ability to create
lesson plans that promote both mastery of subject matter and the
development of critical thinking skills.

V. Description of the Program:

This program aims to help teachers create a more engaging and

effective learning environment for Grades 2 and 3 learners and at the same
time, it will enhance their ability to create lesson plans that promote both
mastery on the subject matter and the development of critical thinking skills.

IX. Monitoring and Evaluation:

Monitoring and evaluation of the school sports fest are essential to

gauge its effectiveness and make necessary improvements. The preparation
and the secretariat committee will ensure the smooth implementation of the
program activity. The outcome determines the possible solutions and
recommendations that will improve the delivery of the sports program to the
learners. After the program is completed, a narrative report and pictorials of
the school based sportsfest will be submitted to the Schools Division Office
as mode of verification.

IV. Rationale and Objectives:

The Department of Education, Division of Lanao del Norte will hold a

Provincial meet 2022 on December 16-18, 2022 at Mindanao Civic Center
(MCC)Sagadan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. In preparation for this, Palao
Elementary School will conduct a School Based Sports Fest conforming to the
division memorandum #537 s. 2022 in which pupils will participate in
provincial and higher meets. This program activity will help learners
showcase their talents to inspire other learners, it can also encourage
healthy competition among learners, instill discipline among students, and
provide a healthy past time to refrain pupils from various vices and
excessive time on electronic device.

V. Description of the Program:

This program aims to help teachers identify the learners who will
compete for the triangular and district meet.
