COURSE OUTLINE
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this course is to introduce students to the capabilities and applications of
business analytics for problem solving
PRE-REQUISITES:
1. Basic knowledge about the concepts of Data, Research and Statistics
2. An understanding of Data Biases
COURSE OUTCOMES:
CO1: Develop an understanding of business analytics and its models for problem solving
CO2: Learn data visualization and validation techniques for effective data presentation and
management
CO3: Understand how to treat data for errors so as to analyse management problems correctly
and create effective solutions
CO4: Be able to apply predictive analysis tools to solve organizational problems using a
systematic and analytical decision-making approach
Pedagogy
Lectures assisted by Case Studies, Presentations & Discussions. Each session shall involve
discussion among students with practical examples, management games and supplements from
the faculty-student coordination.

Presentation/Club activity
(b) Mid Term Test : 15 marks
(c) Internal Assessment : 10 marks
(d) End term Exams : 60 marks
