Linggo ng Kabataan 2024

An Activity Design

I. RATIONALE

Section 13, Article II of the constitution, declares that, “The state


recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation building and shall promote
their physical, mental, moral, spiritual, and social well-being. It shall inculcate
in the youth patriotism and nationalism, and encourage their involvement in
public and civic affairs.”

Section 30 of RA 10742 also known as the Sanguniang Kabataan


Reform Act of 2015, mandates the Annual conduct of Linggo ng Kabataan in
every barangay, municipality, and province with this year’s theme: “From
Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”

Throughout the years, the Local Government Unit of Mabitac through


the Local Youth Development Office continues its mandate to actively engage
the youth in nation building by working closely with the Sangguniang
Kabataan and the Local Youth Development Council in the Municipality.

The Pambayang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan of Mabitac aims


to celebrate the Linggo ng Kabataan 2024 in the Municipality of Mabitac
through activities such as, Little Officials, seminars and different talents
within one day activity basis, to provide an avenue for them to develop
artistic, leadership, and talents.

Hence, this design.

II. OBJECTIVES

This activity generally aims to promote leadership skills and awareness


through discussions and team building and improve the talents of the youth
through a healthy talent competition.

Specifically, it aims to:

1. Orient the participants on the function and responsibilities of


the Municipal Officials
2. Educate the youth about Health Education and RA 11930
3. Showcase the talents of the youth
4. Develop the leadership skills of the participants;
5. Promote and practice their freedom and right to vote.
III. COURSE CONTENT

To achieve the objectives of this activities, orientations shall be


discussed to the participants, team building and competition proper should
be held.

IV. METHODOLOGY

The activity will be using the following methodologies:


1. Lecture-Discussion
2. Talent Competitions
3. Awarding

V. PARTICIPANTS

Target participants of this activity are selected children and youth of


Mabitac, Laguna from different sectors of the community such as High School
Students, BCA officers, SK Officials and Katipunan ng Kabataan.

VI. DATE AND VENUE

The activity will be held on August 16, 2024 at Amazing View Mountain
Resort, Mabitac, Laguna

VII. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

The expenses will be charged to Youth Development Office Fund


subject with the total amount of PHP 70,000 to the usual accounting and
auditing rules and regulations. This will cover the venue, food, awards and
token expenses.

VIII. RESPONSIBILITY:

The activity will be supported by the PPSK of Mabitac in


coordination with the Mayor’s Office, MSWD Office, DILG Office, MCA
and PSDS Mabitac Sub-Office and Principals.
