D. EXPLORE

ACTIVITY: What is the function of the


tongue
For our activity let`s identify what is the function
of our tongue? I will group you into two and let`s
find out the taste of different food.
Please read first the Settings of Standard

SETTING OF STANDARDS

1. Group yourself accordingly.

4. Use signals when finish The learners will read the Settings of Standard

Activity 1. What is the function of the tongue

Materials Needed:

Salt
Sugar The learners will perform the activity actively.
Vinegar
coffee

Procedure:

Step 1. Taste and identify of what kind of food


you tasted.
Step 2. Raise your hand if you know the answer.
Step 3. Check the table below.

Procedure:

Step 1. Touch the rock, foam, wood and


cucumber and sense what it feels like.

“Parts of the Human Body and their
Functions” Yes, ma`am!

The human body is a unique machine that works


wonderfully with all its parts (body parts). Every
student should be aware of the different parts
that make up the human body.

 Head- consist of pair of ears, a pair of


eyes, a nose, and a mouth which
contains a tongue inside of it.
 Ears- the ears help us to hear the
different sounds and noise.
 Eyes- help us to see the things around
us.
 Nose- help us to smell
 Mouth- it contains saliva. This helps us
digest and absorb the nutrients from the
food.
 Tongue- helps us to taste the foods and
differentiate between the different tastes.

Class did you understand our lesson?
