Job Summary:

The Senior Civil Engineer is a highly experienced professional responsible for leading and managing the
design, planning, and execution of complex civil engineering projects. This role requires a strong
understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and project management techniques.
The Senior Civil Engineer will mentor junior engineers and ensure projects are delivered on time, within
budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, from initial concept to final completion.

• Prepare and review detailed engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.

• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies.

• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards.

• Prepare and submit engineering reports and presentations.

• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

• Manage and coordinate work with subcontractors and external consultants.

• Resolve technical and design issues.

• Participate in client meetings and presentations.


• Manage project risk and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Ensure health and safety compliance on all projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior role.

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.

• Excellent project management skills.

• Experience with all phases of project development, from conceptual design to construction.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.

• Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

• Valid driver's license.
