Semi-detailed Lesson Plan in Art Grade 2

I. Objective
At the end of the lesson the students are able to:
a) identify the five basic shapes;
b) appreciate the importance of five basic shapes in an artwork;
c) use and apply the five basic shapes to draw representations.

what we call five basic shapes.

Shape
- can be defined as the form of an object or its outside
appearance.

So, what are the basic shapes?


The five basic shapes are circle, rectangle, square, oval and
triangle.

1. Circle
- circle has a round shape and does not have edges.
Examples: cookie, pizza, and yarn.

2. Rectangle
-has one pair of short and long sides.
