Slide 1: (intro)

Ever played a game that's both fun and intellectually stimulating? Enter "MathPath" – where
chance, knowledge, skills, and wit collide. Marbles roll through a field full of holes with
questions, so you have to think fast and use what you know to win.

Slide 2: (The Game: Introduction and Exploration)

This game is an educational game that combines interactive challenges creating an engaging
experience for students to enhance their math skills. The purpose of the creation of this game is
to make students enjoy solving and answering math related problems, and enhancing their skills
in math.

The objective of the game is for the players to get to the finish line by going through the
boardgame's base that has many holes using a marble.

Additionally, this game was inspired by our grade 8, 4th quarter project in AdTech. Where we
were tasked to make a cardboard game using different techniques of using cardboards.

Slide 3: (Objective of the Study)

● Our goal is to make a board game that mixes math into its rules. We want it to be fun
and teach you something too. This means figuring out how the game works to make sure
it helps you learn while having a good time.

● The study would focus on selecting appropriate mathematical concepts to embed within
the game. This involves identifying relevant topics across different levels of difficulty.

● It assesses the educational effectiveness of the game. Evaluating whether players

demonstrate improved mathematical skills, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking
through gameplay.

Slide 4:
The game's math concept is about reaching the finish line by solving math problems. It includes
arithmetic, problem-solving, and analyzing. Players get questions based on where they are on
the board. Closer to the finish line means harder questions, farther away means easier ones.

In this game, players' math skills are put to the test, providing valuable insights into their
proficiency levels. It effectively gauges where players stand in terms of their mathematical
abilities and identifies areas where they may be facing challenges or excelling.

Slide 6:
● Scope: The game's main goal is to help players learn math. It adjusts difficulty
based on how close players are to the finish line, keeping the challenge level
right for learning. Players can go at their own speed to improve math skills. Plus,
the game is easy to understand and welcoming to all players, with clear
instructions and visuals.

● Limitations: Because of space and complexity limits, the game might not cover
every math topic. It might focus more on basic math like addition and subtraction,
potentially missing out on more advanced stuff. While it's hands-on and
interactive, it might not suit everyone's learning style.

Slide 7:
The intended audience for the game are students seeking an interactive way to reinforce
mathematical skills. It benefits them by providing an engaging learning experience and
encourages collaborative learning and problem-solving.

Beyond its mathematical focus, the game promotes cognitive development and strategic
planning. The game can serve as a tool for as a supplementary resource for students to
reinforce knowledge in a fun and interactive manner.

Slide 8: MathPath offers an immersive and engaging experience for students to enhance their
math skills while having fun. Through collaborative gameplay, players develop critical thinking
and problem-solving abilities, making MathPath more than just a game—it's an educational
adventure.
