Rules

Eligibility and Team Formation


● Students from all colleges and universities in
Bangladesh can participate.
● Participants must be current students,
verified by institutional ID cards.
● Teams are limited to a maximum of 4
members.
● Teams can include students from different
institutions.
● Each team must have a Team Leader and a
unique team name.

Robot Requirements

The robot should be a ground-wheeled vehicle.


It must follow the designated line
independently without any human intervention
or wireless communication.

Robot Design

● Maximum Dimensions: 25 x 25 x 25 cm

● Weight: Less than 2 KG

● Power Supply: On-board, up to 12V.

● The voltage between any two terminals must


not exceed 12V.

● Must work under any lighting conditions.

Track Features
Track Details

● The track is printed in black on a white


surface.

● Track width: 3 cm, with start and end zones


marked by 25 x 25 cm black boxes.

● Line gaps will not exceed 15 cm.

● The track may include sharp turns (30°, 45°,


60°, 90°, 120°, 135°), zig-zags, dotted lines,
loops, bridges, caves, objects, gaps, and
color changes in the line.

Demo Track

N.B: This is just a demo track. It is not necessary


that this track will be on the main event.

General Rules
● Teams must be present at the venue 30
minutes before the start of the competition
and hand over the robot for inspection. No
hardware modifications are allowed after
submission.
● The organizers may alter the rules and
regulations if the need arises.
● The judges can ask for an explanation of any
mechanism on the robot.
● Any decision made by the judges is final.

Disqualification
● The robot must be fully autonomous. Using
any wireless technology or communication
module will result in immediate
disqualification.

● Any type of behavioral misconduct by a
team member will result in disqualification.

● Any type of non-conformity towards the


event rules will cause disqualification.

● Teams will be disqualified if their robot


damages the track.

Gameplay

● The game will have 2 Rounds:


1. Qualification Round
2. LFR Race

● The teams will have a maximum of 5


minutes (300 seconds) to finish each round.

● An extra 2 minutes will be given for


calibration.

Qualification Round
● Only one member can handle the bot during
calibration and the main run.
● A Maximum of X1 Restarts can be taken and
X2 checkpoints can be skipped.
● During run time, picking up the bot or
touching it will be considered a restart.
● The robot has to be restarted from the last
completed checkpoint.
● Additional points will be rewarded if a bot
completes the track without skipping any
checkpoints.
● Robots will qualify based on total points.

NB: X1 and X2 will be announced before the


Round Start.

LFR Race

1. The number of teams advancing to this


round will be determined based on the total
number of registered teams.

2. This round will be conducted as a


tournament.

3. Two bots will be chosen by a random


selection process. Then, the selected robots
will enter the track and race against one
another to complete the track first without
any skips. The winner advances to the next
round.

4. In this round, you can take as many restarts


as you want; no points will be deducted for
taking restarts. Restart must be taken from
the previous checkpoint.

5. If both robots are unable to complete the
track or need to take one or multiple skips,
then the rules from the Qualification Round
will be applied except for the restart point.
The winner will be declared by calculating
points.

6. In the final round, winners will compete for


the prize based on either points or race, as
decided by the authorities.

NOTE: Finish Zone points will be awarded only if the


entire robot is inside the Finish Zone.

● Registration Fee: 2000 BDT per team (1-3


members)

● Additional Member Fee: 600 BDT per member

● Registration Deadline: 15/07/2024

Notice
1. All participants and visitors must carry their
own Institute id card while participation or
visiting.

2. They must not carry any unusual bag or


things with them, not relevant with
competition exhibition.

*The authority holds the power of changing


any decision /rules if necessary.
All participants must respect the decision of
the authority.
