The Data Protection Act 2018 governs how we use personal data. For details of how we will
use your personal information and who we may share it with please see our Privacy Notice
for the Border, Immigration and Citizenship system at

The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 to V4.6 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors
because:
• You have applied for a visa to travel to the UK.. In support of your circumstances you
have provided tax returns, your bank statement and other supporting documents.
The onus is on you, the applicant, to show that you meet the requirements of the
immigration rules based on your overall personal circumstances and that you will
comply with all of the conditions associated with any visa. In order to come to my
decision, I have considered, not only those documents stated above, but all of the
documents you have provided regarding your circumstances. Please be advised that
every application is assessed based on its own merits.
• You have stated that you are self-employed and have declared an annual income of
521370.00 INR (£4,769.28 where £1 = 108.489 as per Oanda.com on 17 February
2025). You have declared savings of 6700.00 GBP. You state that the trip will cost
4500.00 GBP and that nobody else will be paying towards this cost. You state that
you spend per month 22000.00 INR. Given that your proposed costs are almost your
total income, before deduction of your stated living costs, I am not satisfied that your
expected costs are in line with your stated income and finances.
• You have submitted your personal bank statement as evidence of finance. The credits,
balances and debits in your account are not consistent with your declared monthly
income and outgoings and I am not satisfied about the origins of funds within your bank
account, based on the documents you have submitted. On the evidence before me I
am not satisfied that this statement is a true reflection of your financial circumstances
or that your circumstances are as stated.
• You have provided personal bank statements, however, I note that this bank
statement represents funds used for yourself and these funds do not necessarily
reflect your business’s financial circumstances. Whilst I note you state you are self-
employed and may not be in receipt of a regular monthly income, this account does
not corroborate that you are in receipt of an income from your stated employment. I
am therefore not satisfied this account demonstrates your circumstances as declared
by you. As a result, I am not satisfied that you have presented a complete and
accurate picture of your personal and economic circumstances.
• The factors mentioned above have not been taken in isolation but considered
collectively. From the information on your application form and the documents you
have submitted, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that
you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor.
• I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you
meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 (a) and (c) of Appendix V: Visitor.
