terminating repeating decimal expansion.
Polynomials:
• 4. Find the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial x² - 2x - 8, and verify the
relationship between the zeroes and the coefficients.
• 5. Divide the polynomial p(x) = x³ - 3x² + 5x - 3 by g(x) = x² - 2 and find the
quotient and remainder.

3y = 10, 3x + 4y = 17.
• 8. Draw the graphs of the equations x - y + 1 = 0 and 3x + 2y - 12 = 0. Determine
the coordinates of the vertices of the triangle formed by these lines and the x-
axis, and shade the triangular region.
• 9. For what value of k will the following pair of linear equations have
infinitely many solutions? kx + 3y - (k - 3) = 0, 12x + ky - k = 0.
Quadratic Equations:
• 10. Solve the quadratic equation 2x² - 7x + 3 = 0 by factorization.
• 11. Find the nature of the roots of the quadratic equation 3x² - 4√3x + 4 = 0. If
the real roots exist, find them.

78?
• 15. The sum of the 4th and 8th terms of an AP is 24 and the sum of the 6th and
10th terms is 44. Find the first three terms of the AP.
Triangles:
• 16. If a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle intersecting the other
two sides, then prove that the other two sides are divided in the same ratio.
