UNIT-4
1. Draw the four topologies of feedback amplifiers and list out the characteristics of each
topology.
2. Draw the block diagram of current shunt feedback amplifier and derive the expression for
Rif and Rof.
3. An amplifier has an input resistance of 200 KΩ, with a certain negative feedback
introduced in the above amplifier the input resistance is found to be 20 MΩ and overall
gain is found to be 1000. Calculate the loop gain and feedback factor.
4. Find the type of topology and find Avf, Rif and Rof for the below figure.
5. Derive the expressions for input and output resistances of a current series feedback
amplifier.
6. Write the expression for input and output resistance of voltage series feedback

UNIT-5

1. Explain Colpitt’s oscillator and derive the equation for frequency of


oscillation?
2. Derive the expression for frequency of oscillations of Wein bridge oscillators
with BJT.
3. Explain Barkhausen criterion with necessary equations and an example.
4. Derive the expression for frequency of oscillations of RC-phase shift oscillator
using BJT and FET.
5. Derive the expression for frequency of oscillation and condition for sustained
oscillation of a Hartley oscillator.
6. Draw the crystal oscillator and explain about piezoelectric effect.
7. Discuss about Frequency and amplitude stability of oscillators.
8. In a Hartley oscillator, if L1=0.2mH, L2=0.3mH and C=0.003 µF, calculate the
frequency of oscillation.
9. In the Wien bridge oscillator shown in Fig. 1, R1 = R2 = 220 kΩ and C1 = C2 =
250 pF. Determine the frequency of oscillations.
