1. There are two bags of sweets at a party. Sreeni takes one sweet from each bag at random.

(a) List all possible combination of two sweets.


(b) Find the probability that Sreeni takes two sweets of the same colour.
(c) Find the probability that Sreeni does not take a blue or a green sweet.
2. Kim has 3 shirts and 2 pants.

4. A coin is spin and dice is drawn once.


(i) Write the sample space.

(ii) George says, ‘The probability of getting Tails and a number greater than 4 is .”
Do you agree? Explain your answer.
5. Teena has two sets of cards.

She takes one card at random from each set.

(b) Find the probability of getting a total of 9.

16. Grigor has two bags containing coloured marbles. The marbles are either Blue(B), Red(R) or
Green(G).

He takes a marble at random from each bag.


(a) Complete the sample space diagram to show the possible outcomes.

(b) Kate chooses that colour of the paper and the colour of the envelope at random. Find the
probability that the colours of paper and envelope are the same.

21. Angelina has three children.


Find the probability that she has three girls.
