Specific objective (s):  Recognition of Colors: Students will
correctly identify and name at least 8
basic colors in English when shown
various objects or images.
 Oral Practice: Students will use
color vocabulary to describe common
objects during classroom activities
and conversations.
 Written Application: Students will
accurately use color names in simple
sentences and descriptions in their
writing tasks.
 Interactive Learning: Students will
participate in group activities and
games that reinforce their
understanding and use of color
vocabulary in English.

The colors of my

Vocabulary:  Basic colors (red, blue, yellow, green,
orange, purple, pink, brown, black,
white, gray)

Language uses:  Understanding that colors are
content / adjectives (e.g., "red apple").

 1. Warm up: The students begin the morning in an


active way in the company of the teacher, they say a
prayer and thank God for another day, followed by
listening to the song "Colors" in English for children.

2. Methodology:
Participate
Objective: Capture the students' attention and activate
prior knowledge.

Activity:
Warm-up: The teacher starts the class with the song Colors
in English from YouTube where the students will observe the
vocabulary related to the topic and will be attentive and
active during the class.

Discussion: Once the activity is finished, the teacher shows


a flash card with objects of different colors which the students
will have to relate to the vocabulary seen in the previous
video.
Interactive game: Finally, they play SIMON SAYS, a game
that will allow the teacher to practice the commands in
English and relate the students to the vocabulary of colors.

Study
Objective: To teach the target language (color vocabulary)
and provide controlled practice.
Activity:
Presentation: The teacher shows the students different
cards on which the colors are written. Then each student
must look for the mentioned color in his or her environment.
Practice: Write the names of the colors on the board next to
the flashcards. Ask the students to match the flashcards with
the written words.
Listening exercise: Say a color out loud and the students
must point to the correct card or object that matches the
color.

Activate
Objetive: To enable students to use the new language freely
in a communicative activity.
Activity:
Color scavenger hunt: Hand out worksheets with pictures of
different objects (e.g., apple, sky, tree, sun, carrot, grape) and
ask students to color each object the correct color. For
example, they should color the apple red and the sky blue.

Group activity: Divide students into small groups and give


each group a set of color flashcards. Each student in the
group chooses a flashcard and says a sentence using the
color (e.g., “The apple is red”). The rest of the group finds an
object or points to a picture that matches the color.

Closing discussion: Ask students to share something they


colored and describe it using the correct color (e.g., “I colored
the apple red”).

3. Assessment:
Formative assessment: Monitor students during the
Participate and Study stages, giving them immediate
feedback on pronunciation and comprehension.
Summative assessment: Assess students’ worksheets to
ensure they have correctly matched colors to objects. Also,
assess their ability to use color vocabulary during the Activate
stage group activity.
Homework: Students will draw a picture of their favorite
object and color it with the colors they learned. They will write
a sentence under the drawing (for example, "My car is blue")
and bring it to the next class to share.
Resources:  Color cards (red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple)
 Real objects or pictures of objects (for example, an
apple, the sky, a tree, the sun, a carrot, a grape)
 Whiteboard and markers
