PowerPoint Quick Reference Guide
Create & Manage Slides
1. 1. *Create a New Presentation* - Open PowerPoint → Click *Blank Presentation*. 2. 2. *Change the Title Slide Layout* - Go to *Home* → *Layout* → Choose a new layout (e.g., Title Only). 3. 3. *Add Text to a Slide* - Click inside the text box → Type your title or description. 4. 4. *Insert a New Slide* - Click *Home* → *New Slide* → Choose your layout. 5. 5. *Change Slide Layout* - Select a slide → Click *Layout* → Pick a different layout. 6. 6. *Edit Slide Master* - Click *View* → *Slide Master* → Change design, fonts, colors → Close Master View. 7. 7. *Delete a Slide* - Right-click a slide thumbnail → Click *Delete Slide*. 8. 8. *Duplicate a Slide* - Right-click a slide → Select *Duplicate Slide*. 9. 9. *Rename a Slide* - Slides aren't renamed like Word files. Instead, edit the title text on the slide to label it. 10. 10. *Change Slide Size* - Click *Design* → *Slide Size* → Choose *Standard* or *Widescreen*.

11. 11. *Format with Bold, Italics, Underline* - Select text → Use *B*, *I*, or _U_ buttons in the *Home* tab. 12. 12. *Change Font Style and Size* - Highlight text → Choose a new font and size. 13. 13. *Change Text Color* - Highlight text → Click *Font Color* (A with a color line) → Pick a color. 14. 14. *Align Text* - Select text → Click *Align Left*, *Center*, *Right*, or *Justify* in the Home tab. 15. 15. *Apply Text Effects* - Select text → Go to *Format* → Click *Text Effects* → Choose shadow, glow, etc. 16. 16. *Insert an Image* - Click *Insert* → *Pictures* → Select from your device → Resize/move it. 17. 17. *Insert a Shape* - Click *Insert* → *Shapes* → Select one → Draw it on the slide. 18. 18. *Change Line Spacing* - Select text → Click *Paragraph* → Choose *Line Spacing* options. 19. 19. *Apply WordArt* - Click *Insert* → *WordArt* → Pick a style → Type your text. 20. 20. *Create a List with Numbers* - Highlight text → Click *Numbering* in the *Home* tab. Images & Visuals 21. 21. *Insert an Image from Your Computer* - Click *Insert* → *Pictures* → Select image from your device. 22. 22. *Insert an Online Image* - Click *Insert* → *Online Pictures* → Search and insert. 23. 23. *Resize an Image* - Click image → Drag the corner handles to resize it. 24. 24. *Apply Image Styles* - Click image → *Format* tab → Choose a border or shadow style. 25. 25. *Crop an Image* - Select image → Click *Crop* → Adjust edges → Press Enter. 26. 26. *Apply a Picture Filter* - Click image → *Format* tab → Use *Artistic Effects* for filters. 27. 27. *Insert a Shape* - (Same as #17) Insert arrows, boxes, or circles using *Insert > Shapes*. 28. 28. *Group Multiple Objects* - Select multiple items (hold Shift) → Right-click → Choose *Group*. 29. 29. *Add a Screenshot* - Click *Insert* → *Screenshot* → Select window or screen area. 30. 30. *Insert a Logo* - Insert your logo as an image via *Insert > Pictures*, and place it on each slide or Slide Master.
