1.B. ASSOCIATED REQUIREMENTS

Not applicable.

1.C. REASON

Revision 0:

Several cases of the yaw ball-type control's sliding rod rubbing at its tail servo-control end have been reported.

On helicopters post modification 073252, the attachment clamp of the yaw ball-type control located at the fuel
tank was positioned randomly: it was either turned outwards (photo 2, Figure 2) or turned inwards
(photo 3, Figure 2).

In order to improve the routing of the yaw ball-type control and reduce friction at its servo-control end,
modification 073422 was introduced and defines the clamp's orientation as being inwards
(photo 3, Figure 2).

The purpose of this Service Bulletin Revision 0 was to modify the orientation of the attachment clamp in order to
reduce the risk of rubbing on the sliding rod of the yaw ball-type control at its tail servo-control end.

Revision 1:

During compliance with this Service Bulletin Revision 0, the ball-type control may interfere with the RH roll flight
control lever located beneath the transmission deck.

The relocation of the attachment clamp deletes this interference.

Revision 1 supersedes compliance with the previous revision of this Service Bulletin.
